Jessamine hummed in agreement, her tone filled with suspicion.

The man sighed and said, "Of course, you threw it away. I'm Jerome Langston. Your brother and I were classmates in elementary school. I'll visit your grandpa another day. Do you mind if we exchange numbers?"

Jessamine's thoughts were still focused on the business card. She had totally forgotten that Jerome had given her his business card yesterday.

Jerome was an outgoing person. He opened his phone and handed it to her, waiting for her to give him her number.
