NATALIA’S POV

“Do you not need the vegetables this time around? I can slash the price for you” The woman who I have made a habit out of buying food from, spoke. Her eyes lingered on my bloated tummy.

“I am not sure if I need that” I mumbled. “I have gotten everything I need right here” I raised the plastic bag she just packed for me herself.

“Nonsense! What do you mean by that? If anyone needs vegetables at the moment, it should be you. For the baby’s growth, you need to eat more vegetables in your food so you get them now!” She instructed, already packing them into another plastic bag.

“Alright, here is the thing. I do not have the money to buy them okay?” I finally came clean and told her the truth. If I told her how I was able to get the money to start with, she was probably going to send me away from her stall.
