Hundred and Five

LUCAS’S POV

“They asked you to call me alone?” My gaze flickered from the guard standing by my door to the bottle of ale I was pouring in my cup.

“No your highness, I was asked to summon each of you individually to all arrive at the conference room by 7:30pm tonight” He said, his head still bowed to the floor.

“Noted, you can leave” I murmured, slumping back on my chair and nursing my cup of ale, my thought surging deep.

Even without having to hear what they are going to say, I had an idea as to what it is. The rivalry between my brothers and I is getting becoming a time wasting thing and not only do we know it, they too knew.

We keep going round and round and round in circles with no worthy improvement. Not one of us is making an attempt to step down for the other at the same time none of us is making an improvement worth more than the other. We are all working at the same pace, thus making it very hard for the elders to determine who will rule the land.
