MIRABEL POV

“Thank God, you woke up you have been sleeping in anger since we came back from John’s place, I have been worried about you” Victoria said

I gazed at the clock, my eyes still welled up from sleep

“What’s the time now?” i asked my voice barely above a whisper.

“This is past 9, you slept for so long” Victoria said

I smiled and walked towards the dining, i poured myself a drink and sipped it, i went deep very lost in thought.

“Where is Nina and Louis?” I asked my voice barely above a whisper.

“They both went to sleep, Nina already drank from her baby feeder” Victoria said

I nodded curtly, trying to brush off Victoria's concern. But she knew me too well, her gaze piercing through my facade. "Mirabel..." she said, her voice low and firm, as if daring me to open up.

"Do you even have to ask?" I snapped, my voice barely above a whisper, and walked back to the living room, trying to escape the conversation. Victoria followed me, confusion etched on her face.

"How are you feeling?"
