Royal's POV

I felt a sudden surge of adrenaline as I stood up from my seat, my heart pounding in my chest. The figure in the cloak slowly made its way toward our table, their steps deliberate and purposeful. As they approached, I could make out the faint glimmer of a silver amulet hanging around their neck, similar to the one I wore.

The man sitting across from me, sensing the tension in the air, rose to his feet as well. His gaze shifted from the mysterious figure to me, concern etched on his face. "Do you know this person?" he whispered, his voice laced with caution.

I shook my head, my mind racing to find answers. The locket, the stranger's arrival, it all seemed to feel connected somehow. "No," I replied in a hushed tone, my voice tinged with fear. "I've never seen them before."

The figure stopped in front of our table, their piercing eyes locked onto mine. "You," they said, their voice low and ominous, "you possess what rightfully belongs to us."
