Obvious

Ciara's POV

"Who are you guys?" I queried, my voice almost quivering but it wasn't so obvious. I intentionally didn't want to show my fear so they wouldn't think we were weak and wouldn't be able to fight them. I waited for their answer but they didn't speak, rather they were glaring with their resentment filled eyes.

"Tell me you... What are you doing here? Clear the road, we want to leave... If you have anything to say, come to my pack-house."

Then one of them smiled grimly, taking a few steps forward. "Why should we come to your pack-house when you won't even make it back to the pack? In case you don't know, let me tell you... We have come to kill you. Nothing else."

My heart jumped into my throat. They were really here to get us killed? But why? Who were they and who could have sent them after us. I needed to summon the Alphas now... Just as I was about to link our mind, I heard another scream of my soldiers, collapsing from the horse. They just shot him.
