Chapter 70 Quarrel

At six o'clock in the afternoon, Lydia returned home exhausted.

Lambert and Wythe were engrossed in playing the video game "Rapid Racer" together, each with a controller in hand, thoroughly enjoying themselves.

Lydia slumped onto the couch, unwilling to move, and casually tossed the court summons onto the coffee table.

Lambert and Wythe exchanged glances, then set down their controllers. "What's wrong?" Lambert asked.

Lambert picked up the summons and quickly scanned through it, feeling a storm brewing inside.

Though equally angered by the situation, he glanced at Lydia's despondent expression and nonchalantly remarked, "It's just a court summons."

Lydia suddenly sat up straight, her beautiful eyes filled with distress. "Just a court summons? This is slander! They're just turning the tables on me!"
