Nico's POV

Now I had two options. To play oblivious and speak like I was only just knowing about her movements and being all smug about the fact that she took up my offer after all and traveled on a plane to LA. It was either I do that or pick up my phone and call her and demand to know who the fuck the other guy was.

But that's the problem. I'm not sure that I'll be able to control myself then and it won't be a matter of seconds before I completely lose it and show up at the hotel myself. Yes, I already know where it is.

I find the goodness in what I was going to do for us, but I still regret the fact that I didn't claim her as mine.

And so to spare us both that reality, I decided to go on with the first line of action instead.

I was already in a bad mood to begin with. All I wanted from her was to hear her voice; maybe that would make me feel better.
