Chapter 271

Chelsey had been sleeping soundly when she heard honking from outside.

It meant that Fred was back. She tossed in bed and tried to carry on sleeping, but she abruptly heard the door of her room open.

Her eyes snapped wide open, alert. A tall figure stood by her bed in the dark. It gave her such a fright that she screamed.

Chelsey leaped off her bed and went to switch on the lights.

"Who are you?"

A hand shot out of the darkness to grab her wrist.

She knew the voice. It was Lucas.

Her tensed nerves calmed down now that she knew who it was.

She pulled her hand back from him to pat her chest.

"You scared me half to death! It's late. Why are you here in my room?"

"There's a document I need you to sign," he told her slowly.

"What is it?" she frowned, straightening her back.
