On the way home, Xavier called Zach and reported, "Dad, I've escorted Ms. Jenson home."

"Good. What do you think about Chels? Do you feel anything?"

Xavier answered, "Ms. Jenson is adorable. We had a pleasant time chatting."

"That's nice to hear. You should make plans to hang out with Chels more often. By the way, do you like kids?" Zach inquired.

"I guess I'm okay with them."

Zach continued, "Chels has a child. He's over two months old."

Xavier was abruptly at a loss for words.

He was not prepared to be a stepfather yet.

Xavier hesitated when he realised that Chelsey had a child and a very young one at that.

"What's wrong? Do you mind that she already has a kid?" Zach asked after not hearing Xavier speak.

"It's not that I mind. I'm just not quite used to it."

Xavier quickly added, "I should be fine after a couple of days."

"Alright, I'll give you two days to adjust. After that, make plans to hang out with Chels. She doesn't have many friends in Westine and stays at home
