"Lia? Is something the matter?" Chelsey asked.

Although Lia merely caught a glimpse of the draft, she could still make out that it was a piece of jewelry that Chelsey was developing. The design was good, too.

Smilingly, she said, "What are you drawing? You're being so elusive. Can't I take a look at it?"

"Nothing much," Chelsey said plainly.

"Is there something you wanted to tell me?"

"Yes."

Lia sat on the chair beside the bed. She bit her lip and looked like she wanted to say something but refrained from doing so.

"What is it?" Chelsey asked.

Her instincts told her that Timothy was a considerable part of the reason for Lia's visit.

With a flushed face, Lia blinked and mumbled, "I'm wondering if… Mr. Somner has a girlfriend."

It was as Chelsey had expected. Matchmaking wasn't her hobby, but she didn't want Lia to harbor any false hope.

If Timothy had eyes for Lia, he'd take the initiative to pursue her. Chelsey wouldn't need to interfere at all.
