Lucas' words reminded Chelsey of the garden in their matrimonial home, where numerous fruit trees were planted.

She would turn leftover apples into jam and lemons into honey lemon drink.

Chelsey was not very productive in those three years.

She let out a self-deprecating laugh and responded, "I don't have time to make jam now. Take them back."

"It's okay. Just throw them away after you finish eating."

Lucas set down the fruits and left.

Over the next few days, he moved his office to his home. Lucas juggled between working and keeping a close eye on Chelsey.

At the same time, bodyguards stood in the area by the elevator.

The elevator lobby was spacious, spanning 540 square feet. The space was equipped with security devices to inspect Chelsey's takeout orders.

When Sandra headed out to collect the takeouts, she was startled by the scene.

"Chels, what on earth is Lucas up to? He installed security devices at the entrance," Sandra asked Chelsey when she returned.
