October isn't my month

Hello All,

I apologize for the delay in adding additional chapters; a horrible case of strep throat hit my family this week. I have been battling a 103-degree fever for the last week, and I have been in a pretty delusional state, making it difficult to write. (Even typing this out is a struggle).

Between family emergencies, technical difficulties, and now this sickness from hell, October just isn't my month.

I will get back to posting regular chapters as soon as the fever officially breaks and I am back to normal.

I apologize,

XOXO

Emma Taylor

p.s for those wondering how I typed this, I didn't my Significant Other had too since they are finally feeling better.

ELLE POV "Stay still; if I mess up this eyeliner, I have to redo your entire face," Emma barks at me like a general commanding her troops. Slightly terrified of having to be stuck in this chair any longer, I make sure that I don't move a muscle, just praying to the Goddess that she will be done soon. "Hurry up, Emma," Taylor whines, and I can tell she is growing impatient with Emma's need for perfection. "Rome wasn't built in a day, Taylor," Emma mutters as she studies my face looking for imperfections in her work; when she doesn't find any, she smiles in victory before thrusting some shoes in my face signaling me to put them on. Grabbing the gold heels Emma instructed me to wear, I sit at the edge of the bed, put them on my feet, and wrap the gold straps up my calves. Once both are tightly tied around my knees, I admire the entire outfit in the mirror. I barely recognize the red-haired vixen staring back at me with her smokey eyes and full burgundy lips. "Damn, Emma," Taylor

ELLE POV Before I pour myself a glass of champagne, Emma, Taylor, and Charity drag me to the middle of the packed dance floor as the song "Single Ladies" by Beyonce blares through the speakers. Women are going wild throughout the club, pushing men to the side to take over the dance floor. Even with the dozens of bodies crammed into the small space, I can feel eyes on me. I know they are watching my every move causing a feverish feeling to lick my skin and my heart to pound relentlessly in my chest. Letting the music guide my body, I throw my hands up in the air, letting my hips move seductively, teasing all the men in the crowd, particularly those watching from above. "Let's go drink!" Emma screams, grabbing my wrist and dragging me through the crowd, bumping into sweaty bodies after a few more songs have played. As the girls surround me once more, we make our way back to the table where the guys are waiting with more shots; now that I am closer to my birthday and first shift, th

ALPHA JONAH POV The scent of honeysuckle leads me further into the club. My mind is dazed at being this close while Thor purrs wildly at the forefront of my mind. 'Careful,' Thor rumbles suddenly, 'Damon's Gamma is trailing us again.' 'Don't worry,' I reply, 'I clocked Damon and them on the balcony as soon as we came in. We knew he would never let Elle come to New York without his oversight.' 'Yeah,' Thor replies, 'but we need to pick up speed so we can lose him before the passageway. We can't let him up know what we are up to.' 'I know, Thor,' I snarl, tired of his constant criticism. If it was possible to punch the bastard, I would. As I make my way down a dark hallway at the back of the club, humans make out along the wall. 'How far back do you think he is?' I ask Thor. 'About fifty feet behind us,' Thor says, lengthening my stride and covering more distance. I round the corner quickly, opening and ducking behind one of the two-way mirrors strategically placed throughout

ELLE POV After an hour of drinking and dancing, without the return of Jonah, my curiosity at his location gets the better of m,e forcing me to take drastic, albeit stupid, measures to get some damn answers. Getting on my feet, I look at Taylor, Emma, and Charity, signaling silently that it's time to go the bathroom. No words need to be said for them to understand my intentions. "Where are you going?" Theo asks, standing to join us on our journey to the bathroom. I wouldn't have time to search the whole club, but I'd be able to look around for Jonah and see his true intentions. His demeanor has been incredibly different than the man I met a few weeks ago. "To the restroom, Theo, " I reply indifferently, "you guys can stay here while we go." I nod to the twins and Charity. "No," Theo insists, "let me come with you; it's not safe." I can see Jonah's beta, Eli, watching us intensely while he tries to listen to our conversation. "Theo," I say, adding an edge to my warning, not wan

ELLE POV An appreciative rumble from Damon encourages me to push him against the wall with a crazed need I didn't know I possess. My tongue nibbles along Damon's jawline, fueling my desire even more as my hands explore his body. My thighs tingle as Damon wraps my legs around his waist so he can press my back against the wall, his hips pressing against mine as his hard cock presses into my wet core. Damon's teasing hands leave a trail of sparks along my inner thigh, leaving me a whimpering mess, begging for more, "Not yet, biscuit," Damon murmurs into my ear as his teeth nibble the lobe, my pussy throbbing as my hips move against him. "You need to be punished for your poor choices." He says before putting his lips around my marking spot, my eyes rolling as my head rests against the wall, lost in the euphoria of being near him. Carrying me over to the sink, Damon sets me back on my wobbly feet before turning me around, forcing me to bend over the sink, my ass raised in the air. The

DAMON POV Elle and I weave through the room, holding hands tightly, our scents mixed like a perfect cocktail. Slade is purring like a maniac, barely aware of our surroundings. I am still dazed from our time in the bathroom, stumbling along the dancefloor to the VIP section. There is no hiding from the rest of the group what happened; I am drenched in Elle's juices, and so is she. As we near the others, I link Andrew, 'we are on our way to the table. I do not want to hear a single remark about our prolonged absence.' Andrews's laughter rings through my mind, annoyance settling in my chest, 'Sorry, it's just that Elle linked Theo to say the same. You two will make quite the couple.' 'Beta,' I say, my tone warning him to quit this line of questioning, 'tell the others.' 'Theo already did,' Andrew replies, 'Jonah is still missing, by the way.' I don't need to ask any more questions as we approach the table where everyone else is sitting. Theo and Andrew sit beside each other, talki

ELLE POV A bell rings, signaling our arrival into the deceptively large shop. Plants occupy every space that is not overrun with gems, crystals, herbs, books, alters, and random trinkets. A couch, a loveseat, and a few armchairs are placed around a coffee table where guests can wait. "I'll be right with you," A voice calls from behind a black curtain at the back of the long room. As the boys and Emma decide to sit on the couches while Taylor, Charity, and I wander throughout the store, picking up different odds and ends to look at. Nothing calling to me as I wandered the ambiguous shop. Until I walk further back, seeing a table with jewelry lining the black fabric. As if an inner force is telling me where to look, my gaze lands on an emerald ring matching my eye color with a gold crescent moon surrounding one half. The stone sitting within is unlike any I had ever seen before. It's rough and jagged while remaining beautiful and unique. My fingers no longer resist the urge to pick

ELLE POV I notice the scrutiny on Damon's face as he studies me, but I have nothing to say to him now that my mind is too busy trying to work through Esmeralda's prophecy as I follow them out into the busy city and head back to the hotel. "Luna by birth." What does that mean? I know I come from an Alpha bloodline, but could there be more to it than that? It would explain why my parents went through all this trouble to hide my true nature. Born Luna is a coveted commodity by many Alpha males; there are more stories about their abductions and forceful markings than having a healthy mateship. "Luna by mate." This means I'll probably be mated to an Alpha, my eyes glancing at Damon's broad shoulders as he leads us to where the ubers are waiting to take us to the hotel. As I pile into the black SUV with the other women, I can sense Damon's disappointment at not being able to sit next to me. As the wheels carry us to our destination, one part of the prophecy keeps playing over in my m

FOUR YEARS LATER Elle- 22 years old; Damon- 23 years old ELLE POV ************************** I don't know what's going on with me, but it's not pretty, my stomach convulsing with another dry heave like it's waged a bloody war on my body without my knowledge. Goddess, what is this? Was I poisoned? It has to be poison. Someone trying to kill me slowly is the only obvious reason behind this sickness. Werewolves don't get sick. Leaning my head against the porcelain rim of a place my face should never be close to, I try catching my breath, my forehead pouring in sweat. A sickly sweet smell makes its way into my nostrils as another wave of nausea forces its way through me. Rolling my insides around like a boat in the middle of the ocean during a summer storm. "Happy Matesday!" Damon sings, pushing open the bathroom door, a tray in his hand, the offensive odor oozing from beneath the plate cover. Before I can keep it in, I am purging the nonexistent contents of my stomach. Once I f

DAMON POV I look like a fool, with a smile covering my lips, as I saunter into the decorated ballroom filled with our guests as they drink and mingle, eating from the appetizer trays being carried around the room. Some guests are already dancing to the music played by the DJ, typical of werewolf parties. Scanning the room, I find Andrew and Matt standing at the bar. My feet taking me to them, only to be stopped along the way by guests wishing me congratulations. Five minutes later, I finally make it to the bar where Andrew stands, glaring at the dance floor. Matt hands me a whiskey, an easy-go-lucky grin on his face. "That's the look of a man who got some biscuits," he chuckles. "Yeah," I grin, enjoying the banter, while licking my lips "and I ate the whole damn plate, it was delicious." My reply has Matt choking on his drink, making me laugh harder. Andrew remains unbothered, signaling to the bartender for a refill. "Come on," Matt says, coughing through the burn of his drink,

ELLE POV I thought the nerves of today would be so overwhelming that breathing is difficult, but for the first time in a long time, I am at peace. Twirling the ring I found in the psychic shop, the ring my father gave to my mother, I know I should get rid of it, but a part of me can't give it up. While my mother owned it for a time, it was never truly hers but belongs to the entire Luna lineage of Silver Run, so getting rid of it never felt right. So instead of thinking about my mother, I focus on the amazing Lunas' who wore it before her and will wear it after me. 'Biscuit,' Damon's husky voice comes through my mind, like liquid gold coating my body, sending shivers down my spine. 'I think your dad would understand if you didn't want to wear that ring.' He comments, knowing my inner struggles without verbalization. Choosing to learn from our parent's mistakes, we always keep the connection between us open. 'I know,' I sigh, as I stare at the ring sitting on my finger, 'I miss you

THREE DAYS LATER ELLE'S POV The last few days have been hectic as I try to make all the arrangements and keep New Moon running while also being in constant contact with Theo about what's happening in Silver Run; killing Tiberius and leaving the pack hasn't left the pack members in good faith. We haven't had the chance to talk about what we will do with both packs, but the distance makes running both nearly impossible. However, we are finally returning to Silver Run, and I can handle some pressing matters that need to be taken care of. Theo is doing his best but isn't an Alpha; the pack needs me, and Damon's pack needs him. How are we going to divide our time? The travel alone will be a bitch...and splitting from him is not an option. Tingles spark along my hand as Damon grabs my hand, pulling me from my rambling thoughts into the present as he turns the car onto the main road. Andrew follows behind us with Theo's dad, and the robin hood of rogues takes up the rear of the carava

DAMON POV The morning after finding my mate should be filled with nothing but mindblowing sex, energy bars, and water; nothing else, and certainly not this fucking bullshit. Not a blood-curdling anger that consumes every inch of my soul, one that seems to last forever now that I am marked to Elle. When Andrew and Matt interrupted my wonderful morning to tell me what had happened, I almost didn't believe them. There was no way my father would reject my mother. No, she was his entire world, and I believe in the bond because of them. Walking into the cell to see both my parents sobbing and somehow on the verge of unconsciousness. After getting the abbreviated version from my father while my mother remains silent, the rest of the world blows away as I fall into the black pit of wrath. I barely understand what I am saying, words of unintelligible hatred being spewed at my mother. I barely sense her fear, so lost in my anger, my father whimpers as he tries to manage the pain fueling me

ELLE POV Stretching my limbs, I roll onto my side, happiness spreading from the top of my head to the very bottom of my feet. Opening my eyes, I find Damon already awake, a large grin covering his face as he watches me sleep. "What's with the smile?" I ask him, wiggling my body closer to his, craving the skin contact as tingles erupt over my skin. "I remember everything," he answers, adjusting his body to wrap me in his arms, laying my head on his chest, "and I realized something." "Oh, what is that?" I ask him, trying to recall the overwhelming memories flooding my brain. Some of them are wonderful. Making breakfast with my father or when he would take me swimming back home. I remember the times with Theo and coming to New Moon to see Damon. But there are the darker ones, the memories I never want to talk about again- the ones that should be locked away in a box. Memories of my mother I never want to touch- she could be loving whenever my father was around, but if it was the two

*******THIS IS A FREE CHAPTER******** *****THIS HAPPENS WHILE DAMON IS BUSY WITH ELLE ;)*** ******************************* MATT POV I don't think I have ever felt as relieved as I did when we walked out the pack gates to find Charity alive and looking more beautiful than Zeke or I have ever witnessed. Even covered in blood, sweat, and dirt, she looked like a warrior. Like a Gamma, I had never felt more proud of her. Or at least that's what I thought. Until she threatened my life with the promise of dumping my body outside the territory lines as if the shortcake could carry my large frame by herself. But still, the promise sets my entire body ablaze, and as much as I hate that rogue fucker he wasn't wrong when he calls her a fireball because she is. A feisty little fireball who has weaseled herself underneath my skin, and now I can't seem to shake her. Walking out my front door, I cross the front yard in seconds before climbing the steps of Charity's porch two at a time, my fi

ANDREW POV I am trying not to think about the fact that Theo didn't come back as Damon carries Elle through the gate and up to the house. With an exasperated sigh, I turn on the Beta energy and do what is expected when all I want to do is call Theo and make sure he is alive. Death or severe injury is the only reason I could see him not returning home with his Luna. "I can't believe he is letting them onto the territory," Matt grunts pulling me from my spiral downward as he glares at the car in front of us. We are letting rogues into the territory; what is Damon thinking? With a shrug, I walk to the car because I figure it's better to get these introductions over with. Charity walks over, intercepting us before we reach the car, but far enough away that they won't hear us. Her body is covered in the blood of her slain enemies, exhaustion all over her. As soon as Matt sees her, his entire demeanor changes, but she ignores him, focusing solely on me. "Theo is alive; he stayed home t

ELLE POV Damon hovers above me, staring into my eyes, his hand caressing my cheek, the nerves of this moment rising into my throat, and it's like he can tell. He leans his forehead against mine, the electricity buzzing while the sparks run rampant along my skin in ways it never has. "We don't have to do this if you're not ready, Elle. I love you and will wait as long as needed for you to be comfortable." "I love you too, but I won't lie," I say, my mouth slightly dry, "I am a little nervous, but I know you would never hurt me." I wrap my arms around his shoulders, pulling him closer as my lips meet his, mixing while the rest of the world disappears. A primal growl reverberates through his chest as I nip his lower lip, my tongue demanding entrance as they swirl together, giving way to Damon's demand for control. Without removing his lips from my body, he moves them along my jaw, causing a small sigh to leave me, the smell of my desire so heavy in the room you could practically tas
