Leandro got up from the body of Luciano, his claws dripping with Luciano's blood. He turned to look at Larisa who was now seated on the floor, looking tired and exhausted. Leandro let out a deep breath as he let his human features take over his wolf side. He walked over to Larisa and held her in his bloody hands. "Are you okay, Risa?" He asked her, his eyes scanning her body that was still covered in bruises. "I am sorry you had to go through this, Risa" he pulled her into a hug but Larisa could not hug him back, she only had one question for him. Pulling back weakly from the hug, she looked at Leandro. "Is anything wrong?" Leandro asked, noticing the look in her eyes. Larisa sucked in a huge amount of oxygen and a tear rolled down her cheek but she quickly wiped it away. "I want you to tell me the truth, Leandro" she started. "Let's get back home and have you treated first" Leandro said, more concerned about her safety and the safety of their pup more than the truth she wante
Larisa could not stop running even though she had no idea where she was off to. She just wanted to be as far away from Leandro as much as she could. Larisa ran for about half an hour with an energy she didn't know she had in her. Standing in front a forest, she broke down, shifting back into her human form. She knelt in front of the forest and buried her face in her palms. The thoughts of how big of a fool she had been to Leandro. He had used her parents and was manipulating her too. A part of her recalled his words. His several 'I love you' to her made it hurt the more. The way he still said those words to her even after she had just figured out what sort of monster he was. She wanted to hate him so much, she wanted her heart to swell with nothing but hatred for Leandro yet it was hard for that to happen. She could recall the hurt in his eyes and the way he seemed to shatter when he found out that she knew the truth now. And yet, if he did not love her at all, would he have killed
In The PresentLeandro remained on the grace of Luciano. It hurt to think about the past when he and Luciano hung out together and now Luciano was buried underneath all these soil. After what Luciano had done, Leandro and his father were thrown into a frenzy, trying to figure out a solution to what Luciano had done but the search was futile for the next two days and just when Leandro was about to give up on all of it, his father brought up the crazy idea of killing the moon blessed to pass the powers onto him. He had been against it initially as the thought of killing two innocent souls who were blessed by the moon goddess herself made him shiver but his father had assured him that they were going to be shedding the blood of two for the sake of the entire Pack. And then that night, the night before he was to be embarrassed publicly for being unable to shift in front of the entire Pack, Leandro had been bundled out of his room by his father and that was the night the ritual was done
"What's going on?" Kimberly asked softly as Hayden walked into the house, looking tired and exhausted. "A whole lot of issues for Leandro" Hayden replied, walking further into the living room. It was dark but he could see Kimberly seated on the sofa almost clearly. "Why are you not asleep yet? It's so late into the night" Hayden said, walking to the sofa and sitting beside her. "I was worried" Kimberly replied. "Worried? About me or about Leandro?" Hayden asked and Kimberly hesitated before responding. "About the both of you but I worried about you a little bit more"A smile lit up Hayden's face as he looked at her face. "That's great?" "What was the issues?" Kimberly asked but Hayden hesitated. Yes, he loved her but it would take time for him to rebuild the trust he once had in her. "I can't say yet. It involved Luciano, Leandro and Larisa. I don't know much about what transpired exactly" Hayden replied. "It stressed you out?" Kimberly asked, her hand reaching for his. "It
Leandro buttoned up the last button on his shirt, staring into the mirror. Even after a long bath that mostly comprised of him sitting under the shower, his dark eye bags were but gone. Leandro ran his hands through his hair and breathed out heavily. He could not stay without Larisa any longer. He was going to go meet her to explain everything to her and beg her as much as possible until she forgave him. "Alright. Let's do this, Leandro" he looked away from the mirror and grabbed his phone and car key, ignoring the headache that troubled him. He knew very well that no matter how bad he was feeling at the moment, Larisa was feeling worse. Betrayed, hurt, heartbroken. She was feeling all of that. He walked out of his room and headed down, out of the mansion to his car. The heads of the guards bowed in respect but none of them uttered a word, afraid that Leandro could get rid of anyone if it irked him at the moment. Leandro got into his car and ignited it into motion. He drove off, t
Larisa stared at Leandro for longer, not knowing whether to believe him or not. Her heart was breaking and there was this strong urge for her to hug him but it made no sense. He was the reason behind her hurt, she could not hug him. "Please leave" Larisa begged him. Her head was really messed up at the moment and what she needed was space. "Risa" he called softly. "Please leave. Your presence... Your presence is choking me" she said to him. "I... I will be right down there, Risa. Whenever you are willing to accept me back, just call out to me" he slowly backed away and Larisa watched him leave the room. Leandro walked back downstairs where grandma was waiting."Did she listen to you?" She asked immediately Leandro was close enough. "I think she did but she is not forgiving me yet and I perfectly understand her. I have reasons why all of this happened but it does not change the fact that I am the reason behind their death." Leandro forced out a sad smile."I will be outside by my
Larisa shut her eyes tight and cuddled the pillow even tighter as she heard rain falling. She had been expecting Leandro to leave when the clouds darkened with rain but he had stayed back. And now it was raining but she had not heard his car zooming out. 'Maybe the bastard just got into his car to shelter himself from the rain' she thought and tried her best to sleep. She had eventually had biscuits and tea and every inch of her physical being felt grateful for the meal. The tears were no longer coming. It seemed like she had ran out of tears but it still hurt as much as it did the previous day when she had just found all of this out. Minutes passed and Larisa hated the fact that she was curious to know if he has at least taken shelter from the rain. She slowly got up from her bed and walked towards the window. Slowly, she pulled the curtains apart and peered down and there he was, under the pouring rain. He was totally drenched but he was still there, standing and staring up at
Leandro wrapped his arms around Larisa tightly. He shut his eyes, feeling the warmth of her body pressing against his in the cold, pouring rain. "I am sorry I am such a monster. I love you too, Larisa. I love you so much" he let out a heavy breath of relief. Holding her in his arms right now felt like he was holding his life in his arms. The both of them remained that way for about a minute more before Larisa pulled away from the hug to stare at his face."Why didn't you just stay in your car when it started raining?" She asked him in a scolding tone. "Because that would not seem sincere enough, Risa. I swear I did not mean for any of these to happen. I fucking swear..." Larisa placed her index finger on his lips, stopping him from saying more. "Let's go inside first, shall we?" Leandro nodded and picked Larisa up in his arms. He carried her into the house and grandma was there in the living room, a smile on her face. "You can go to her room. I will bring you both hot food to ea
