Upon arriving at our house, I observed everything in wonder; it truly was a beautiful place we had chosen.

The kitchen was spacious enough for both of us to cook if we felt like it at any moment, in the living room there was a small dining table and a sofa for when we had visitors along with several matching chairs.

On each wall, there was a painting or some strange decoration that Jack had chosen, and the truth was, they didn't look too bad; it was even relaxing to look at those senseless lines on the canvases.

Our apartment had two bedrooms, where one was meant to be our bedroom and the other would be a sort of office with our books and important work belongings; it was a very simple place, just what we knew we needed to be comfortable.

I arranged the last books on the polished wooden shelves, while I listened in the distance to Jack chatting with his secretary about company matters that, truth be told, I didn't understand at all.

I stepped out of the office, closing the door gently
