Vailan was the first to wake up. He touched his forehead and has eye bags for he didn’t sleep last night because of what he did to Lixien.
He thought that he could provoke her and make her show her real colors, but it turned out the opposite way.
He couldn’t believe that his desire would be opened up. It was his fault in the first place but what makes him infuriated is that Lixien seemed to be ready whenever he asks for her body.
Was she sincere? He didn’t know what her motives were. He knew that putting her as the empress would do no good to him and to his vassals, and that he would have endless doubts about her behaviors.
He frowned and glanced at the peaceful Lixien.
