Chapter 7 Flowing Light's Friends

After leaving Bluegreen-Clad's team, Zheng Xiaoguang teamed up with Soft-heartedness is a Disease, Mulberry on the Grave and Cool Names Taken by Dogs.

Soft-heartedness is a Disease was a warrior from Dragon Swamp Island. He was eager to gain levels, but as he was still a student and could only play the game during his vacations and after school, he was still at level 77. He was straightforward and enjoyed fighting and playing all kinds of copies. As to his PK skills, he still needed more practice.

Mulberry on the Grave was a level 80 assassin from Blackout Island. He was a quiet person and did not have many friends. Compared to the other professions, assassins and warriors were better at slaying monsters and PK. However, as both Mulberry on the Grave and Soft-heartedness were at quite low levels now, they could not take on many enemies at once. Besides, a low-level assassin was quite fragile. As such, no team would like to add them. They had been on Zheng Xiaoguang's team since she had added them.

Cool Names Taken by Dogs was the last one to be added to this team by Zheng Xiaoguang. He was a magician, which was an indispensable role in ensuring that a team could gain levels, but he was not very popular among the players because of his game name. The first question that Zheng Xiaoguang had asked him after adding him was not "Do you have enough blue(mana)?" but "What do you think about my name?". Cool Names Taken by Dogs seemed to have really spent some time studying her name before answering her question.

Zheng Xiaoguang was prepared to kick him out of her team if his answer was "Yes", but Cool Names Taken by Dogs replied casually, "[Thinking Face] Ordinary."

A moment later, he added, "The other team members' names are also ordinary."

As such, Zheng Xiaoguang's team happily accepted him as their new teammate. She also added them to the Matchless to play together and chat together.

When the four of them gathered together, Soft-heartedness walked around Flowing Light and looked her up and down.

[Team] Cool Names Taken by Dogs: Whew, I prefer your old looks. Now you look like a demon, and I really want to give you a blow to see if I can unlock some equipment here.

With these words, he really gave a blow to a little monster beside Flowing Light.

A team could have 5 members, but Zheng Xiaoguang's team had only 4 regular members. Now they needed to find another one to join them. As Soft-heartedness had a good impression of Bluegreen-Clad, he said on Public Chat channel, "We need one more teammate, members of the Matchless and the League of Strong Families first."

Soon enough, Slightly Defected Moon, a level 80 Summoner from Flowery Island, applied to join Zheng Xiaoguang's team.

Flowery Island Summoner was a new profession in this game, featuring manipulative skills and abilities to summon treasures of different functions.

This profession sounded great, but it was not easy for a low-level summoner to gain levels fast. A low-level summoner was even more fragile than a low-level assassin. Players who were really interested in this profession would choose to change into summoners when their levels were high enough.

[Team Captain] Flowing Light: Now we have five members, I'll open a Captain Order. Slightly Defected Moon, we have only one magician on our team. Let him stay in the center of the map and slay monsters. We go out in all four directions to pull monsters for him.

[Team] Slightly Defected Moon: [Equipment: Black Spirit Sword] I can cause Area Effect Damage. We can split into two teams. Send someone to form a team with me. We can slay monsters faster in this way and maybe we'll reach level 90 today.

Zheng Xianguang clicked the equipment sent out by Slightly Defected Moon. [Black Spirit Sword]: A magic sword specially designed for level 80 Flowery Island disciples. This sword had already been forged into a Six-Star sword. (A level 80 player could forge his or her equipment into at most Six-Star level.) A Magic Stone+6① used for boosting magic damage was embedded in this sword.

Zheng Xiaoguang nicknamed Mulberry on the Grave "Old Tomb", as she thought only an old and seldom-visited tomb would have some plants growing on it.

Slightly Defected Moon, the new member of the team, was indeed an amazing fighter. Soft-heartedness kept telling the other team members what Slightly Defected Moon had just achieved on YY. He also ridiculed Dogs. "Hey, Dogs, you know what. I never saw such an amazing Area Effect Damage before when playing together with you. Although a summoner's attack range is smaller than that of a magician, but sister Moon is really able to slay a group of monsters within a second."

When Zheng Xiaoguan checked their experience points, she was shocked. "If we continue like this for the whole night, we'll reach level 90," exclaimed Zheng Xiaoguang.

"Whole night?" asked Soft-heartedness.

"Tomorrow is Saturday. Soft-heartedness, you can play for the whole night, can't you?" Zheng Xiaoguang smiled meaningfully and continued, "It's really great to have such a capable teammate to play with us. Go to persuade her to join us as a regular member."

"With pleasure," Soft-heartedness replied obediently.

At night, when Blooming Pear Tree got online, he was surprised to find out that Zheng Xiaoguang was gaining levels for herself instead of gaining levels for him. He sent a Private Chat message to her.

[Private Chat] Flowing Light: Big brother, you've already got the highest level in the game, but I'm still at level 80+. If I don't start to gain levels for myself now, even you'll feel embarrassed to have such a low-level sister.

[Private Chat] Blooming Pear Tree: Wow, so you finally grow up, my great doctor? I heard that a female assassin wants to kill you. Is it because of her?

When Zheng Xiaoguang was about to send out a [Speechless Face], she saw all the monsters near her character being hit by a shower of needles enveloped in a black fog. After that, Baby520, who had remained invisible beside Flowing Light all the while, revealed herself.

A doctor might court envy, as he or she usually just needed to add blood for others during a fight against a powerful monster. However, doctors could hardly compete with assassins in pulling monsters. Besides, compared to her, Baby520 had a higher level and better equipment. Given these facts, Zheng Xiaoguang could only let Baby 520 pull all her monsters away.

"Baby520 again? Now she dares not kill me, so she plans to disgust me by snatching some monsters from my hand?" wondered Zheng Xiaoguang.

Zheng Xiaoguang and her teammates had come to this level 90 region Seaside after they had reached level 85 and accumulated a lot of experience. They chose this place as the level 85 regions were too crowded. After playing here for only one hour, they ran into Baby 520.

Level 90 player Baby520 seemed to be busy gaining levels here with her teammates. When she and Flowing Light first met here, neither of them said anything. The last time when Baby520 had come to rob Flowing Light of her monsters, Slightly Defected Moon happened to be there and slew those monsters. Now, Baby520 came to snatch monsters from Flowing Light's hand again.

"Why does this Baby520 keep coming here to rob me of my monsters? Does she want to stop me from gaining levels? How can I tolerate such behavior?" thought Zheng Xiaoguang.

①Magic Stone+6: Magic Stones are different from Forging Stones. Forging Stones are used to forge a piece of equipment, and each piece of equipment has its own function, vitality, defensive power, and offensive power. If a player uses Forging Stones to upgrade his or her equipment by one-star level, the function, vitality, defensive power and offensive power of this piece of equipment will be upgraded accordingly. However, a Magic Stone has its own function and can be embedded in a piece of equipment. Magic Stone+1 means the player has only one Magic Stone. Magic Stone+2 means the player has two Magic Stones of the same function merged together, and so on. Magic Stone+6 is six Magic Stones of the same function merged together. The level of a Magic Stone is never influenced by its owner's personal failures. The game requires a player and his or her equipment to reach a certain level before he or she starts to add Magic Stones to this piece of equipment. These requirements regarding the levels are almost the same as those for the use of Forging Stones.
