"Do you love her?" Mrs. Mara Austin, the relationship asked, staring at Dillon with her oversized eyeglasses. Dillon blinked his eyes and nodded hesitantly.

"Yes... I do,"

"Then how did you end up having sex with someone else?"

She eyed him as if she was trying to detect if he was lying.

"Well... I... I was drugged," He was embarrassed. He tightened his eyes as he answered.

Mrs. Mara saw how embarrassed he was and decided to go straight to the point.

"You have to get her flowers and chocolate. A well-handwritten letter of apology. Make sure the letter is written by you, to show how sorry you are. And after that, get her her favorite things," She halted briefly and then continued, "Mr. Dillon, I do not promise you these are going to be effective immediately, but I am sure they would work with your persistent, consistent, and sincerity,"

Dillon went mute, assimilating everything she had said. Afterward, he got up and shook hands with her before vacating the room.
