Kayla stealthily walked to the door, trying not to make the lowest sound and she unhurriedly opened it. As soon as she opened the door, Daniel Carter, who has been watching her every step since she jumped into his compound, grasped her arms and pulled her in.

"Argh!" She gasped, frightened by his hasty movement.

Daniel pinned her to the wall and punched the space above her head.

Kayla, who had shut her eyes because she thought he was going to punch her, slowly opened her eyes.

She caught a full glimpse of his face and couldn't help letting out a huff. "What! You!" She shouted. Her eyes widened in shock. She was dumbfounded and stunned.

Daniel's eyes glinted with excitement. His lips curled up in a seductive and adorable smile. "Do you miss me already?" He asked, grinning sheepishly.

No matter how Kayla wanted to view his smile, she found it creepy. For some reason, she didn't see him as someone who smiles often.
