Becky was about to step out of the car when Diana grabbed her hand, pulling her back with urgency.

"Do you know what you're about to do?" Diana asked, as she acted like a friend who cares. "What kind of money do you even have to be coming here?"

Becky turned to face her friend, her expression was firm, and then there were racing and conflicting thoughts in her mind.

"Becky," Diana pressed, "you don’t have this kind of money. And even if you did, shouldn’t you invest it or use it for something more meaningful? Look at me—I’m jobless, for heaven’s sake!"

Becky exhaled deeply, trying to maintain her composure. "How many times do I have to tell you? I have a job for you. Just trust me, Diana. Let’s go inside, have a few glasses of wine, and then we can talk properly."

Diana raised an eyebrow, her lips curving into a mocking smirk. "Since when did you start living like some fancy lady of leisure?"

Becky hesitated, unsure whether to reveal everything or keep parts of her story hidden. Her g

While driving back, Alexander sat silently in the car, his expression distant and heavy with emotion. Arthur, seated beside him, could sense the weight of Alexander’s mood, which seemed to dictate the atmosphere in the car.“Being so sad won’t do him any good, it will only worsen his situation.” Arthur thought to himself, searching for a way to break the silence. Before he could find the right words, Alexander spoke.“Will watching those video clips your men collected help with anything?” he asked abruptly.Arthur hesitated before replying. Turning to face Alexander, he carefully considered his words, mindful of how fragile Alexander had become during this difficult time of always thinking of his late wife.“As I said earlier, she’s gone. There’s no bringing her back. If you’re talking about meeting someone new, another wonderful lady, that’s possible. I would go to any lengths to find someone for you,” Arthur said gently.“I’m not interested in other women,” Alexander replied coldly.

“Who…?” Becky paused as she heard the sound of male shoes retreating. “Who is there?” she asked again, her voice trembling because of the footsteps. The gradual retreat of the sound somewhat calmed her.“Maybe it’s one of the hotel staff. That is definitely not Diana’s footsteps,” she thought, her eyes fixed on the door as she adjusted her position on the bed. Even though the sound had faded, Becky couldn’t shake her fears. Whoever had been there had paused at the door, as if about to open it, before stopping and walking back. Some minutes later, softer footsteps approached. This time, Becky felt more at ease, certain it wasn’t the same person. The door creaked open.“What kept you so long?” Becky asked, trying to raise her voice without letting it carry beyond the room and she demonstrated her hands.“What, Becky? Did I take that much time?” Diana replied, walking towards her.“Were you the one who came earlier and almost opened the door?”“No. Someone tried to open the door?”“Yes.”

  • Please! Marry Me Again    Chapter 42- Strong attraction

Mr Alexander was so surprised that the lady, being his ex wife which he didn't know, pointed in his direction. How justifiable it looked like for her to point at Mr Alexander when it was only the two of them that were putting on masks. Both masks properly covered their faces, leaving only the spaces for eyes, nose and mouth. “Yes!” Arthur made a fist with both of his hands. The only difference was that he didn't raise his hands to be seen. The brief moment of pointing at Alexander shocked Alexander. “This is not what I wanted,” Alexander thought and while the crowd was waiting for Mr Alexander to make his first step towards Becky, Becky signaled her friend, Diana, to come closer to her. “Tell whoever is in charge of the light shining on us to take it off.” Diana smiled and she pulled her ear away from Becky. Her smile was the reflection of her thoughts. “Maybe, Becky wants to do something more romantic,” she concluded. Meanwhile, Alexander was still standing and some seco

The next day at Becky and Diana's hotel room, they slept until the morning sun smashed against the glass window. Becky was the first to wake up. They must be tired not only from the dancing but from drinking some alcoholic wine. Diana was the one who actually made Becky take a full glass cup, but she deliberately refused to take another cup. Becky opened her eyes as she turned herself on the bed until she sat down at the edge of the bed. The time was almost 7am and she felt like lying down again. It was at this time Diana's phone started ringing. Becky stood up and went to the phone on the table to look who was calling. “Mr Humphrey!” Boldly on the screen. She can't pick up such a call, that was her former driver. Everyone who knew her before now knew that she had died. She held the phone and went and tapped Diana. “Get up Diana, your…,” chuckled. “Your darling is calling you.” Diana opened her eyes and looked at Becky and it was this time that the call ended. “Hi Becky,”

“Does Becky actually have a job for me?” Diana wondered, her skepticism evident as she watched Becky turned away from the window and walked toward her.“I’m heading to see Mr. Amos a few hours away,” Becky replied, glancing at Diana’s face, which was clouded with worry.“I’m fine,” Becky said quickly, dabbing at her eyes. “I just don’t like talking about my past—especially when it involves Mr. Alexander. I hardly control my emotions.”Diana’s expression remained unchanged despite Becky’s words.“What are you thinking about?” Becky asked.“The job,” Diana admitted. “I’m skeptical…”“Trust me,” Becky said, stepping closer and wrapping her in an embrace. “I have something lined up for you, and you’ll be surprised how everything turns out. Trust me.” She paused before asking,“Do you have the number for a house agent? Let’s get that sorted first.”“I know someone who might,” Diana replied as she felt a little relieved.“Please call them,” Diana urged. Diana immediately grabbed her phone a

“Am I dreaming? Arthur, is this real?” Alexander’s voice trembled as he stood still on the staircase, staring at the clips playing on Arthur’s phone.“She... is alive. I’m seeing what you’re seeing,” Arthur replied hastily, his tone equally stunned. Before he could continue, Alexander snatched the phone, bringing it closer to his eyes. His hands shook slightly as he scrutinized the video, feeling dissatisfied with the small screen.“Transfer these files to my laptop,” Alexander demanded, his voice urgent and strained. His breathing was shallow and rapid, as though he had run a marathon because of his excitement. “Come on, I need to see this on a bigger screen.”Arthur nodded and followed as Alexander stormed up the stairs to his room. Behind them, Mr. Tom, who had no idea what was happening, but followed them into his boss’ room. The moment they entered Alexander’s room, Tom turned on the laptop without waiting for instructions, and Arthur immediately began transferring the files. • Please! Marry Me Again    Chapter 46 - Using force on who?

Becky's life was about to change for good in a direction she wasn't expecting. The doctor was the first to leave the building after telling Becky all that she needed to do. “We would have signed the contract now, but since there are some little adjustments, it will be done tomorrow at my office.” “Okay Mr Amos Wright,” Becky replied. But the aspect of making Amos' son releasing his sperm once in a week kept troubling her. “How am I going to do this?” She thought even in the presence of Mr Amos. “Wouldn’t it look awkward? What if he wakes up at that moment? Ejucalation is…Hmm. That might be the main reason why the doctor said I should do it.” “Mrs Hudson,” Mr Amos called as they were still in the sitting room down stairs. The name pulled her from her thoughts. “Mrs Hudson? Has he started calling me his son's name? What if Diana hears about this new name?” Her brain reacted. “Please, Sir, I will be more comfortable when you call me Miss Becky. I am sorry I'm being selfish

  • Please! Marry Me Again    Chapter 47 - Can't you see we are discussing?

It all happened suddenly as the security men were about to kick Diana out of the building. She knew beforehand that Michelle was capable of doing something like this. “You are not welcome here, get out!” Michelle said as she stood in front of Diana. “I didn't come here because of you. I didn't come here to beg you for my previous job. Since I sat down, I didn't disturb anyone. Why are you looking for trouble?” “I have the right to send you out of this place. Your presence is a distraction to the peace of this place. I hate to see you.” She suddenly chuckled in a way that was annoying to Diana. She took her long from her face as the movement of her body was making her hair cover her face. “Listen, there is no way you can bypass me so that you will get your job again. I want you to suffer and learn the hard way. Where is your arrogant friend you brought the other day? You see that she had caused you your job and abandoned you. I want to use you as a scapegoat. I want everyone

  • Please! Marry Me Again    A Home of My Own

Kathrine’s POVI felt so dizzy I might have collapsed if I hadn’t been sandwiched between Henry and Noah, their strong bodies holding me up. The kitten, tired of being squished, had climbed onto my shoulder, her tiny claws pricking my skin. Was this real? Had I slipped into some alternate reality? Maybe the almond milk my mom gave me had sent me into a coma, and this was all just a dream. Because who in the world gives their girlfriend a house for her nineteenth birthday? But it wasn’t the price tag or the extravagance of the gift that hit me the hardest. It was the understanding.Henry and Noah knew. They knew that for the past three and a half years, my life had been nothing but temporary, unstable, unreliable, and downright terrifying. When I lost my dad, I lost my home, my safety, my security. I’d followed my mom from one boyfriend’s place to another, always feeling like an unwanted third wheel, always at the mercy of strangers. I thought I’d built up a tough shell, that I was str

  • Please! Marry Me Again    The Unexpected Gift

Kathrine’s POVI wasn’t expecting any more gifts from the Robert brothers. They’d already spoiled me with flowers, a fancy stainless steel water bottle, an incredible dinner on the gazebo, and those stunning rings. I couldn’t stop twisting the rings on my finger, just to remind myself this was real. This wasn’t some scene from one of my romance novels—this was my life. But when they drove me out to the waterfall, I almost melted. It was such a sweet, romantic gesture, taking me back to where it all kind of began. Okay, technically, it started at the Professor’s house, but our first real date was here, at the swimming hole under the man-made waterfall. That was the moment I started to believe I could actually be with both of them. When we arrived, there was a blanket laid out on the grass, scattered with rose petals. A vase of fresh flowers sat beside a white box tied with a big red bow. They sat facing me, their eyes full of anticipation, like they were waiting for something huge. It

  • Please! Marry Me Again    She’s so cute

Henry’s povI woke up before the sun even started to rise, the sky still dark over the mountains. Kathrine was curled up next to me, our legs tangled together with Noah’s. My brother was on the other side of her, holding her close while she faced me. At some point during the night, we’d kicked off the blankets, but the three of us together kept the bed warm and cozy. When Noah and I planned her late birthday dinner, we never imagined it would end the way it did, with the most incredible, unforgettable night of my life. Maybe even our lives. I reached for her hand in the dark, my fingers brushing over the ring she now wore. She’d accepted it. She’d accepted us.Kathrine stirred, stretching with a soft groan. “Oh my God,” she mumbled, her voice still heavy with sleep. She threw a leg over mine and sighed. “I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. No, make that two buses.”I smiled, brushing her hair back from her face. Even in the dim light, I could see how beautiful she looked. “I’m sorry,

  • Please! Marry Me Again    I could go anywhere I wanted

Kathrine’s POVI should have done this a long time ago. Sliding behind the wheel of my new car, I gripped the steering wheel a little tighter than necessary, just to remind myself that it was real, this was real. The scent of pine-tree air freshener mixed with the sharp, chemical tang of whatever they used to polish the interior at the dealership. It wasn’t exactly pleasant, but it smelled like freedom. Like a fresh start. No more asking for permission. No more borrowing keys. No more waiting for some taxi driver to show up at his own pace. This was my car, and I could go anywhere I wanted, whenever I wanted. It should have been a good feeling, liberating, even but there was a dull ache gnawing at the back of my mind.My mother wasn’t speaking to me.Late last night, I’d heard her voice sharp and angry, drifting from the other end of the house. I couldn’t make out every word, but I didn’t have to. I knew exactly what the argument was about. She must have gone to Weah, her voice rising

  • Please! Marry Me Again    I want to sleep with her tonight

Noah’s PovEven though Kathrine was trying to hide it, I could see she was upset. When I got to the dojo, she was already there. She had taken off her jacket, put on boxing gloves, and was hitting the heavy bag hard. She wasn’t just practicing, she was putting all her strength into every punch and kick. I could almost feel the force of her hits. Her face was red, her breath was sharp with each strike, and sweat was running down her neck.It was impressive and attractive, but also a little scary.I wouldn’t want to be that bag, but that wasn’t what worried me. It was the way she was fighting, so intense, so focused, so fierce. It was like she was fighting for her life. Or maybe she was punishing herself. After what Henry told me about her meeting with her mom, I thought it might be a mix of both. I wasn’t sure if I should stop her or let her keep going. Since we were in the dojo and she was higher-ranked than me, I felt unsure of what to do.Luckily, Clement noticed something was wrong

  • Please! Marry Me Again    I need to know

Kathrine’s Pov“Time to face the executioner,” I muttered under my breath as I opened the door and headed downstairs to confront my mother. My purse was slung over one shoulder, and I could hear the keys to my new car jingling inside, almost as if they were taunting me. I kept my face calm and composed, but inside, my stomach was churning with nerves. I had no idea how my mother was going to react, and I really didn’t want Henry to witness it if she completely lost it.I found her pacing back and forth between the living room and the kitchen. She had kicked off her heels by the back door and I mean kicked. One of them had flown halfway across the room. Her hair, which had been neatly tied up, was now loose and floating around her flushed face. Her pupils were tiny pinpoints, and she was shaking with anger. She was furious, and it showed in every movement.I took a deep breath, trying to detach myself from her emotional state. It wasn’t easy. Her stress and anxiety felt like invisible

  • Please! Marry Me Again    You bought a car?

Kathrine's povBuying my own car might have been a little impulsive, but I didn’t regret it. Well, not entirely. The process wasn’t exactly smooth, though. I had to visit three different dealerships before I found a salesman who actually took me seriously. The first one looked me straight in the eye and told me to come back with my parents. Can you believe that? The second one laughed in my face when I said I wasn’t interested in financing and planned to pay in cash. It was frustrating, to say the least. But at the third dealership, I finally found a guy who treated me like an adult. We talked about the pros and cons of different cars within my budget, and after some back-and-forth, I settled on a modest, older Toyota with low mileage. It wasn’t flashy, but it was reliable and affordable.I paid for the car in full and drove it off the lot, feeling a mix of pride and guilt. This was my first car, and it should’ve been a happy moment, but instead, I couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling in

  • Please! Marry Me Again    How much longer?

Henry’s POV“How much longer?” I barked into the phone, my patience hanging by a thread.“We’ll wrap up by Tuesday,” said Guy Wilson, the contractor I hired to handle the asbestos cleanup at the old factory. “After that, you’ve got to wait at least 48 hours for the air to clear. Honestly, with a job this big, I’d give it a full week before we run the final tests to make sure it’s safe.”I rubbed my eyes, frustration gnawing at me. A week shouldn’t feel like a lifetime, but with the chaos at home, it felt like an eternity.I always knew Kathrine’s mom wouldn’t be on board with us, but I didn’t expect her to go full attack mode. The way she tore into Kathrine was disgusting, shaming her, calling her awful names. It made me sick. That morning at breakfast, Clara dropped the bomb. “You’re grounded,” she announced, her tone dripping with superiority. “And you’re not touching your car. Got it?”Kathrine didn’t even blink. She just raised an eyebrow, squeezed a lemon into her water bottle li

  • Please! Marry Me Again    The outsider

Kathrine's POVThis wasn’t going to blow over. I could feel it in my bones, like the ache of a storm before it hits. The tension in the house was thick enough to cut with a knife, and I knew it was only a matter of time before everything came crashing down. Unless I walked away from whatever this thing was between the Robert brothers and me, my mom and Weah would keep pushing. And I’d be the one caught in the crossfire.I was the odd one out here. The outsider. The girl who didn’t belong in the Robert’ world. And honestly, I could see why my mom was so uncomfortable. Weah, her professor boyfriend, was all about appearances. He was the kind of guy who ironed his socks and probably had a spreadsheet for his grocery list. I could practically see him breaking things off with her if I caused too much of a scene. The thought made my stomach twist.Even if I ignored my mom and Weah, this thing with the twins was a risk. A huge one. Relationships were messy enough, but with two brothers? It w
