Molly POV

As I climbed into the truck I caught a whiff of the strong pumpkin pie scent that always follows Levi. I knew that he would come after me as soon as Grandma found my note. He would be the first person she would go to. When I first picked up his scent I felt safe for the first time since I had left the territory. The whole time I had been on the move I had the feeling that I was being followed. I wasn’t able to pick up any strange scents but something still felt off. It may have been because I was leaving the one place that I have always left safe. I may have felt safe but I never felt quite like I belonged. It’s hard to explain.
