Done with his announcement, Mr. Blake approached me and handed me a folder.
"That's the bankruptcy documents I got. Merging a company whose facing bankruptcy adds another layer of risk for us to take. That means, we cannot just merge with JGC not knowing its condition. You don't want us to get involved in the problem they are facing, do you, Mr. Averion?" He asked while showing me the paper.
"T-that's impossible! Our company is not facing b-bankruptcy. That's not true!" Kelly protested and the board members as well as the shareholders exchanged various reactions.
I didn't mind them anymore. I just opened the folder and something inside me is raging in fire while reading what's written on the document.
"Do you know a thing about this matter?" I asked as I landed my eyes on her but she quickly avoided looking at me.
"I don't know. I d-didn't know." She stuttered.
