Eric's POV

She thought I did not get it, but I was very much sure of what was going on.

She was stressed out by the news. It surprised me myself, but I knew how the media worked and how to suppress the negative information.

She ran a frustrated hand through her hair, tugging lightly on a fistful, pacing to and fro in the room where she kept her belongings.

Left to me, she should have just kept them in my room.

It was funny how I would never allow her to step a toe into my room five years ago. I wondered what I was thinking back then. Now, I craved her desperately, but she was unavailable.

I placed my hands on her shoulder to calm her down, but she pushed them away.

"Stay away from me," she snapped angrily.

I sighed.

"It's the media, Em. It will die down very soon," I comforted her. "Also, I'm very sorry for my unruly act."
