Jenna was sleeping soundly but woke up when she heard her phone ring.

She reached in the direction of the sound. Someone seemed to put her phone into her hand.

Jenna drowsily looked at the screen of her phone before accepting the call.

“Hello?”

“Jen, the news of Mrs. Langham’s death has spread.” The caller was Carina. “The company is surrounded by reporters right now. Do you need me to come pick you up?”

“There’s no need. I’ll head there myself in a bit.”

“Okay.”

After hanging up, Jenna looked at her phone, much more awake than before.

It was already almost 9 a.m.

That was weird. In the past, she would wake up naturally, even without setting an alarm. However, today, she slept in so late.
