JAMIE

He wasn't happy about it, just like I wasn't.

My Father wasn't all that happy about Mason Knight showing his face, after everything he's done. He wasn't happy about him being back in my life, nor Penelope's either. Because of this, I was the one facing of wrath of Clay Harris. I guess Mason will be too if my Parents don't leave before he gets here.

"I'm not happy about this, Jamie. No, I don't like it!"He shook his head.

Of course i pulled a face, knowing exactly what he was going to say. His every word. It's the same thing my Father always says when he doesn't like a situation.

MASON"He does a good job.. He works hard." My father stated."A good job?"I shook my head with a chuckled."I like Eoin, but there's more than a handful of typos on this page alone. We shouldn't have to keep him on just because he's family.""I think we owe him that much after everything he's done. He was the one that stepped in when you weren't around, Remember?""I bet it was such an inconvenience to his life."I replied, sarcastically. When my father didn't reply I rested back in my chair with a sigh."It's your choice if you want to keep him on. You're the boss here.""When the time comes the business will be passed on to you. It'll be good to keep some people around that you can trust."Trust.. Not likely!! I don't do trust. I'm just not that guy that puts his trust in others. That's never been me. I've never been that man.

JAMIEA bottle of Champagne was chilling in a ice bucket on the table to the side, two crystal flute glasses were stood pretty beside it. One glass completely empty, while the other was still untouched. Two in the afternoon was too early for me, but Carmen on the other hand— well she was never one to turn down free champagne, or anything free for that matter. Being the centre of attention Carmen was in her element, which is exactly how it should be for any bride to be.I hooked the final satin button on the back of her dress that was made of lace and tulle. I was feeling a great honour to be by Carmen's side. To be present at every dress fitting, to every store in the city of New York just to find the perfect pair of shoes to match her perfect dress, and most importantly by her side through all those months of planning

MASON"I know that it looks bad on my part. Not answering the phone when she called was bad enough, and finding a woman in my room didn't help the situation.""Was she pissed?"Eoin asked."Of course she was."I rested back in my chair, with a sigh."But Jamie's been pissed with me since I came back, so there's nothing new there.""She was probably jealous — about the woman I mean. She has a thing for you, she just won't show it because she's angry still. You know how women can be.""Jealous.."I shook my head in disagreement."No, I don't think so. She made it clear how much she hates me. I'm pretty sure Jamie would rather I was out of the picture. She doesn't want me around."Jealous! She would have to feel something for me in order to be jealous. Coming back here — I didn't expect winning her over was going to be such a challenge. How naive I was!!

  • Penelope    CHAPTER 11:A DAY OF DISASTER

JAMIEMy day started with a disaster!!I over slept my 7am alarm by 45 minutes, which meant my usual morning routine of calmness before an 8hr shift at The Ritz, turned into a huge rush around.I was rushing from one room to another while Penelope sat calmly in her highchair, munching on some Cheerios. Between getting us both dressed, feeding Penelope and packing her things for the day ahead, I had already worked up a sweat.I was late for work!!I looked down at my silver watch, that my Mom had gifted me for my birthday."No, I'm extremely late for work! Let's go, Penelope."I picked Penelope up in my arms, with two bags over my shoulder and I left my house in a hurry. My day didn't get any better from there. Work was more hectic than usual and Carmen came down wi

JAMIEI walked out of The Ritz and into the lashing rain, with the feeling of dread for what was about to come. Mason Knight was never one to make my life easy, today was no different. He turned on the sidewalk and looked at me. I was surprised that he didn't wait under shelter like any normal human being. No, he was stood with the rain pouring down on him, drenched with a pissed off expression on his face."You took your time."Ten minutes tops, but I'm sure it felt like forever for him. I know how impatient he can be. He doesn't like waiting around on anyone, that's what the expression is for. That and the guy he seen me kissing."Sorry.."I apologised, I don't know why. Mason didn't deserve an apology, not that I was even sorry anyway."So you said that you wanted to talk?"Make it quick, I thought!"Yeah!"He r

JAMIEEthan and I walked through the lobby of The Ritz after a quick lunch and a catch up before we both headed back to work. With Carmens wedding only two weeks away, we had our own planning to do.Ethan isn't going to Carmens bachelorette party so it's just us girls. He's going to Brent's instead, even though he isn't keen on the idea. He doesn't particularly like Brent, but he can't say as much to Carmen. I'm sure she'd pretty much disown us.I guess we can't really blame her for that. I don't think I'd be happy either, if my best friends didn't like the man in my life. As hard as it might be sometimes, we need to get along with Brent for this to work."Are you sure you don't mind?"Ethan asked.

JAMIEI was sat across the dinner table from Jack at a cute little restaurant. We were midway through our main course and I was feeling thankfully that there has been no shortage of conversation between us so far."I didn't know that you were a vegetarian, Jamie. I'm impressed.. Honestly. I don't suppose you eat fish, Do you?""Not since I was younger. Some vegetarians eat fish, I choose not to. I don't miss meat really.. I mean except for when I was p..."I stopped myself before saying anymore. Of course that got a look from Jack."Except for when you were what?"He asked.I didn't tell him about Penelope. I don't really know why I didn't, perhaps it's because telling Jack about my daughter means that I have to tell him about Mason. I w

MASONI pulled my phone from my pocket and looked at the screen. Still no reply! She didn't even bother to return my call. Does she really think she can just ignore me, especially when I'm staying at the hotel she fucking works in.I walked into the hotel with no intention of going straight to my suite. I wanted to talk to her — and I was going to try to be nice about it since I was planning on asking her for a favour. She wasn't at the reception desk, a blonde woman was. It was a little after lunch, so I expect she would still be here. The blonde woman smiled as I got closer."Hi Mr Knight, what can I do for you?""I'm looking for Jamie. Can you tell me where she is?"I asked, nicely in fact. The door to the back office was open slightly and I couldn't see her inside. That's usually where she is.

I was rocking a red dress that was a little below the knee and trying my best to contain my exciting emotions.Dinner with Mason.I was excited about tonight, I was excited about seeing him after our few days apart. Those days felt like forever. A part of me was really worried about how this dinner will go. We didn't exactly leave things off on a good note when he left so I still don't know where we stand."That dress looks stunning on you. Red is so your colour."Sara grinned."I think you should accessorise with gold. Those two work really well together.""Let's move onto shoes next then."I turned and looked in the mirror again. • Penelope    CHAPTER 34: THE LUMP

JAMIE"Mom-Mom!"I called out as I walked through her hallway towards the kitchen. I heard nothing back. Usually, I would hear the clattering of plates as she put them away in the cupboard or her singing along with the radio so loud she wouldn't hear me.Where is she?I walked into the kitchen and no one was in sight, which was very unusual for the Harris household. I walked further towards the kitchen island and pulled out my phone to call her.My Mom's car is parked out front, she wouldn't usually go out without her car because her knees get sore if she walks a long distance. She wouldn't be with my father, he's in work at this hour. Her phone rang aloud and the tiny hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I instantly had a bad feeling, you know when you can just sense that something

MASONWas this it for us?I was sitting behind my desk for what felt like a lifetime, my body was aching from sitting in the same position for hours on end. I haven't left my office since midday. My laptop screen was in front of me, I was trying to work but I couldn't. All I could think about was her.Her hair, her lusciously plump lips, her eyes so big and brown. With or without clothes she was perfect either way.Two nights out of her bed and I'm fucking sleep deprived. Usually, Jamie would rest with her head on my chest and the majority of the time that's the way it would stay until the sun rose. Now I sleep alone and I don't like it.I threw my pen down on my desk and reclined back in my chair. My head is fucked. I can't do anythin

JAMIESid and Barb had renewed their wedding vows in a rustic style ceremony and now the party was in full swing. The band was playing sweet music on the stage, while couples danced on the lit up dance floor in front of it.The garden was lit up with fairy lights above us and amongst the trees and tables of 6 were scattered to the sides of the dance floor for those who wanted to sit and chat.It was late evening now and the sun was beginning to set, bringing an end to the perfect day that Barb and Sid had been planning for months. All this effort that they put into this special day and it goes by so quick.Over the years I've heard many brides express how that didn't enjoy their own wedding, that it went by so fast and there was too much stress. MASONI took hold of her wavy blonde hair wrapping it around my hand, thrusting harder and faster as we both drew closer. I was watching her in the floor-length mirror in the corner of the room, her facial expression of enjoyment every time I slammed into her from behind and the way her breasts moved with every thrust.I never expected to be doing this on my lunch break, but the opportunity presented itself and I couldn't resist. Despite the 2 pm meeting that I'm probably going to be late for, I couldn't stop myself!I reached my hand around rubbing her clit and causing her to moan even louder. I was still holding her little black thong to the side of her toned ass with my other hand."Fuck!!"I groaned, unable to contain how turned on I was t

JAMIEThe clock ticked closer to 5 pm, closer to the end of the workday. The thought of a long hot bath with a naked man has kept me going the entire day.Speaking of a naked man, Mason is picking me up in 15 minutes as per his orders. He doesn't want me being out alone so I'm basically escorted everywhere I go. He's lucky he's gorgeous — otherwise, I might not stick up with his crappy rules!"I'm leaving now, Jamie," Sam said, as he walked around the reception desk. He was pulling his jacket on over his work uniform."We should plan something soon — I haven't seen much of you lately.""Sure, Text me. We can work something out.""See you tomorrow then. Don't forget it's your turn to bring the coffee and doughnuts."He shouted back and winked at me. I chuckled, but that laug

He boxed me against the wall."Did you really think I was going to tell her? I'm not going to lose everything because of one mistake.""It's not one mistake. You've cheated on her more than once."He smirked."Oh really, And what makes you think that?"He waited for my reply but I didn't give him one."I'm guessing Mason has something to do with it.""I wish there was nothing to tell. You can't blame me because you cheated on her. She deserves to know the truth, Brent.""What makes you think she's going to believe anything you say, huh? MASONI dialled Jamie's number for the third time, but just like the last two, there was no answer. I've grown impatient waiting for her for the past 30 minutes. I wish she would just pick up her phone for once, it's not as if she's never on it.Where is she?"Jamie, Where are you? I've been here waiting for you for awhile now. Just call me back — or come back to the room would be even better."I hung up the phone and sat on the bed with a sigh.I lit 50 fucking candles for nothing!!It was 10 minutes later before the door to the hotel room opened and I heard her heels on the floorboards. JAMIE"I can't believe the wedding is tomorrow."I grinned as I grabbed the bags from the booth of Mason's fancy car. I couldn't help but notice how unexcited he was to be here."Aren't you excited?""Well, it's not as if I'm getting married, Jamie."Well no because you're not the marrying type, remember. I thought about saying but decided not to. I think it'll cause more harm than good. As far as he's concerned, I don't have a problem with it."I'm excited! Carmen is my best friend and she's getting married tomorrow. If she's happy then so am I."I picked up a bag and hung it from my shoulder.Mason pulled out the last medium-sized suitcase and closed the booth."I'm excited that I get to spend the weekend with you."He closed the distance between us and set his lips on mine."Do you plan
