Jasper’s cell phone rang, cutting him off. “Hello, mom?”

Ever since Marvin Miller let Jasper take over the family business, he had been vacationing in Europe with his wife. He rarely kept in touch with his son, as if his son did not exist at all.

“Your father and I are back. We saw in the news that you’re getting married. How can you get married without us around?” Mrs. Miller’s tone was scornful. “Another thing.
