Chapter 6: Online author/writer

That night, Danielle had dinner with her grandmother

together with  Jenny. After taking

dinner, she helped Jenny in washing the dishes. Then, she went in her room

after they have placed their grandmother on her own bed in her own room. She played

on her phone while lying on her bed. She kept on searching on the internet on other

part time job she could take without interfering  with her current work.

Until, she saw a website that was looking for an

online author/writer. She read the details of the said website and Danielle

smiled. She loved reading and writing romance stories. Her interest aroused

again. She logged into the website and filled in the necessary information

needed to apply as an author/writer online.

Before going to

sleep, she prayed to God that all her plans will go out well. She closed her

eyes and went to sleep. The night was peaceful and warm.

As the morning sun rises, Danielle woke up from her

bed. She stood up and tidied her bed before going outside the house. She looked

around and said to herself, nothing has changed. She walked towards the

southern side of the house to fetch water in the well. She used a pulley that

has pail hanging on it. While pulling down the pulley, Danielle felt that the pail

was already filled with water.

Therefore, she pulled up the pulley to reach out the pail

of water. Near the well, there's a big empty container which is purposefully made

for filling in water. She poured the pail of water in it. She fetch some more

water on the well until the container was already full.

Her body felt warm because what she did. She was also

perspiring hard. Her right arm was a bit tired and getting sore. She went back

inside the house and into her room. She opened the closet and picked up a new underwear,

bra, and her silky light blue summer sleeves blouse and match it with a floral

skirt. She took a towel as well and walked out of her room, bringing her things

with her.

Then, she walked back towards the well. She placed her

clothing in the changing room which was near the well. It was intended there

for private use. The place was isolated so that no one can see any person when

they were taking a bath.

Without any hesitation, Danielle took a bath there.

She poured water to her body. She was used not to take off her clothes when

taking a bath. But this time, she took off her pants because it was a hindrance

in cleaning her body.

Her white fair skin legs showed and it shined when it

was struck by the sun's rays. Her face were sparkling even when it was wet. The

shape of her body was revealed when she poured some more water on herself. She

took a shampoo and rubbed it on her long black hair.

Afterwards, she washed her body with soap. Water

drifting her body, she felt her body was awakened and felt fresh. She dried

herself by wrapping her body with the dry towel which was placed on the door of

the changing room.

Finally, she entered the changing room and started drying

her body. Then, she took her underwear and put on her clothes. She looked so

seductive in her look but she never cared.

It was already six in the morning when she finished

taking a bath. She prepared breakfast for the three of them before going out of

the house.

“ Nanang, I promise I'll come visit you often.” Danielle

embraced her grandmother and glanced at Jenny who was standing next to them. “

Jenny, please take good care of Nanang and if something happens, don’t hesitate

to call me. I have given you my phone number.”

Hearing her words, Jenny smiled and nodded.

“ Goodbye, dear! Take good care of yourself too. “

Nanang Elsa said with tears in her eyes.

Breaking their embrace, Danielle smiled and waved her

hand as she walked away from them. When she reached the bus station and rode a

bus, she heard her message alert tone. She was sitting near the window but her

focus was distracted.

After she took out her phone from her purse bag, she

noticed the man beside her peeking on her chest. Instinctively, she turned

aside from the man and pulled her blouse upward to cover her chest. Then she

read the message sent to her on her phone.

The message came from the website that she had applied

for to become an online author/writer. She felt so happy that the response of

the publication was she was hired and that she can start making stories anytime

sooner.

Her excitement was expressed by her giggle. Thank you,

Lord. Now, I can fulfil another dream of mine without having problem with my work

and in school. Danielle thought. She placed her hands engulfing her phone into

her heart.

This was a really big surprise for her. But the man

beside her came closer to her. Danielle felt that the man was obviously doing

it in purpose. So, she glared at her side and said: “ Excuse me, Sir, can you

please sit properly? You're occupying almost half of the space of my seat.”

The man grinned as he stares intently on her. This man

is really annoying. How can I avoid making a fuss inside a bus? Damn it!

Danielle said to herself while avoiding to get in touch with the man beside

her.

Noticing the awkward look in Danielle's face, the

conductor came near them. “ Is there any problem, Ma'am? “

Glancing at the conductor standing beside them,

Danielle  bit her lower lips and pointed

the man trying to occupy her space. She shook her hand as a response to his question.

Looking at where Danielle was pointing at, the

conductor made a fierce look to the man sitting next to her. “ Excuse me, Sir,

can you please behave yourself or I will have to call a police to grab you out

of this bus?” He said that provoked the man's ego.

Immediately, the man sitting beside Danielle kept his

distance from her. But he kept on glancing at her. He obeyed like a tamed dog

after being warned. Danielle felt relief when the man behaved a bit. When the conductor

announced that they are already in the bus station of the city, Danielle stood

up but the man beside her didn't move a bit.

“ Excuse me, Sir, can I pass? I want to go out of the

bus now.” Danielle said with annoying look. She was frowning because the man

was so damn hard to deal with.

The man looked at her and grinned. “ Of course, babe!

You may go.” He moved his feet to give space for her to walk out.

“ Thank you!” Danielle said casually. She carefully

walked out of her way but she then felt someone touched her butt.

What the hell! Danielle burst in anger. Without any

warning, she stamped the man's feet and ran outside the bus. She heard the man

cursed her for what she did to him. The conductor who witnessed what she did

just laughed.

As Danielle called out a tricycle driver, she

instantly went inside the tricycle and asked the driver to send her to

Greenwich. Everyone knew where Greenwich was. Therefore, the tricycle driver

drove her there.

When she reached the place, Danielle paid the tricycle

driver's service and walked in towards the entrance door of Greenwich. As

expected, everyone turned their eyes on her as if they have seen an artist.

“ Wow! She is so beautiful! Who is she?” The boys at the

nearby corner of the entrance door gossiped.

Not minding whose looking at her, Danielle went

straight to their locker room.

“ Wow! Is that you, Danielle? “ Stella's eyes widened

in disbelief.

“ Hi, Stella! Did you bring with you my uniform? “

Danielle said smiling at her dumbfounded friend.

“ Of course. They are in your locker.” Stella pointed

the cabinets near them.

“ Thanks!” Danielle opened her locker and took out her

uniform. She was about to go to the changing room when Mr. Donald came in the working

area and saw her appearance.

“ Oh my God! Danielle, is that you?” Mr. Donald said with

a surprise look on his face. “ You look stunning today. Do you have a date?”

“No, Sir. And dating is not priority right now. All I

need is work and study. Excuse me, Sir. I'm going to change my clothes. “

Danielle answered while shyly bowing her head. Not even looking eye to eye with

her manager.

Mr. Donald set aside to give her way. Everyone started

gossiping about her inside the working area but Danielle just ignored what was

happening there. She went to the changing room and took off her clothes and

replaced it with her uniform.

After

changing into her uniform, Danielle went back the working area. She placed her

things inside her locker before going to the security guard to log in her name

and be inspected first before working in the service area
