“What are we doing here?” she asked upon entering the suite.
But he did not respond and just ushered her to the bed, where she saw a huge box above it. Beside it was a small box that she presumed contained a pair of shoes and a much smaller box that she guessed was jewelry, which only meant that the huge box had a dress inside it. She slowly turned in his direction.
Jan was already taking off his tie.
“What’s the meaning of this?” Kate asked, puzzled.
“Take a bath and get dressed, Katherine.” He sauntered towards her. “Because you and I are going on a date.” Jan kissed the tip of her nose.
She folded her arms across her chest and chuckled. “A date? What’s the occasion?”
He arched a brow. “I don’t need occasions to take my wife on a date.”
