Chapter 127 – Something That Belongs To Her

(Aya’s POV)

“Aren’t you going to let me in?” Myra asked. “This is my home too, you know?”

My eyes were wide as I stared at my older sister, unable to move while my heart was hammering in my chest. I had not seen her since the day she gave birth to Katie, and now that she was standing in front of me, I turned to my daughter, panic-stricken, as she leaned on her side to see who was at the doorway.

“Dad.” Myra pushed me slightly to the side, entering the door without my invitation.

Myra kissed my father’s cheek and turned to the child staring at her. Different emotions were stirring inside me, mostly fear, especially at how she looked at my daughter. Watching my sister walk closer to Katie was worse than seeing Scarlett because Myra didn’t die from the plane crash but never showed up for four years. She had not changed much but looked more sophisticated and perhaps had a better life because when I glanced outside, I saw her sedan and recognized its worth because Red also had one of those
