Davis's POV

Gideon and I walked out of the psychiatric hospital drained of strength. We made our way to the car and drove off. We had spent the entire day with Margaret Jones. Who would have believed that the woman was Raymond's biological mother? What was Raymond fucking thinking, locking her up in a psychiatric hospital?

“I still think we should have freed her” Gideon gave out his thoughts and I sighed. He wasn't wrong, the woman needed saving, and she begged us to take her out of that hell as well, but we couldn't do that.

“That would blow our cover. We can't free her just yet. We will, soon, but that can only be after we've taken back New York. If Raymond goes deep into who had helped her escape, he'll realize that I'm alive” I replied.

Even though I wanted to free the woman so badly, she looked like she was calling for me. She reminds me of Ma'am Marian so much.

“But we'll get her. We'll make sure we free her from that prison” I said sternly. It was the promise I made to her be
