Mother and son's conversation

Author's POV

After hearing that Margaret Jones had been taken to the dungeon underground where they kept their prisoners, Raymond was more than happy to go and pay her a visit. He had been waiting for this moment for years.

With his right-hand man and best friend, he made his way to the dungeon that was far from his mansion. Getting into the place, dark and dirty, he was satisfied with the kind of life she was now living. Never was he planning to give her the comfort of a good life.

“Hello, mother!” He spat the minute he saw the woman. Margaret Jones opened her eyes as she was once asleep. When she saw that it was her son, she sat upright on the bed.

“Raymond” her voice cracked and hoarse.

“Are you surprised to see me?” Raymond asked as he walked into the cell after his guards had opened it for him.

Margaret Jones shook her head, indicating that she wasn't a bit surprised to see Raymond. It wasn't the first time of doing this to her, so she wasn't surprised.
