"My lovely Gemma," it started. "I have missed you so much, I heard news you are now a married woman. I feel so much sadness that I never got an invitation, but darling I understand if you hate me now, I have disappointed you, and you have every right to be mad, I just wish you had come to see me or send an invitation, Gemma darling. I don't have so much to say but I am proud and happy to hear such news.
