AZURE

I gently eased Reiner into a more comfortable position, offering him a canteen of water. His weary eyes met mine, gratitude mingling with a steadfast determination. But as I mentioned taking him to the infirmary, he shook his head with a flicker of defiance.

"No, Azure," Reiner rasped, his voice strained yet resolute. "There are others who need you more. I can handle myself."
