Chapter One

Zion

"You're nothing to me, Pevillion. You're just a pest who's been trying to destroy all of my properties, so I guess you must rest in peace?"  my eyes glazed over and said to my former staff who was planning to betray me. 

He was kneeling in the ground while his body are cover with blood.  He deserved that.  No one can oppose me.

"Sir Enriquez, please forgive me ..." he begged.

It's too late for that.  I am not moved by pity so any tears that drip on your face have no effect on me.

I turn to my other disciples.  "You know what to do with him. I don't want any clutter left, understood?"

They headed at once until I left.  I can still hear Pevillion's scream even after I get out.

My Lamborghini car arrived just in time with one of my staff, it came out to greet me.

"Sir Zion ..." then he pointed me to get inside and he opened the door for me.

"Howard, what's my other appointments for today?"  I asked my secretary who was riding with me.  I first turned to my staff and asked them to leave.

Howard is actually my best friend for years, he's the only one I really trust in everything I do.  He is not just my secretary, he's also a brother to me though he needs to work to me as my personal assistant.

He picked up the wide tablet and looked at everything listed.  "Ah, as of now, you have a meeting with the other investors within fifteen minutes and after that you'll have to welcome the ambassador at the airport near three in the afternoon," he read.  "So, if you want to finish all your work for today to have some fun in the bar at night. I suggest, hurry up and drive to the location ... Sir Zion," he deliberately stressed the mention of my name for me to get  annoyed but I just smirk at him.

"Well, I suggest you might wanna hang on and grab your seat belt?"

With that, I immediately stepped on the gas and get on our way as fast as we can.  I don't give a damn care about traffic enforcement or whatever lights we'll encounter.  This is my city and I'll follow my own rules.

If they have a plan to challenge me and stop my plans, then they'll have to get ready cause their about to face hell.

As I woke up in the morning, there were unfamiliar feelings inside me.  My head are kinda 'spinning so when the door open, I can't see the servants properly.

"Good morning, Alpha. The King wants to remind you to get ready about the hunt for today ..." I heard it say.

I can't remember that I drink last night but why so am I feel like I have a hang over?

As soon as I can see clearly, I look at them.

"Yeah, tell him that I'm just going to take my bath and eat then I'll meet him in the throne," I replied, they bow before leaving.

Minutes before they left, I finally decided to get out of my bed and get myself ready.  Not for the hunt but to escape.  I made my decision, I'm not mating with anyone.

I want to prove to my father that I can take care of the packs just by myself.  I don't need someone to guide me with my leadership.

I pack all my things that I needed and hide it inside the plants near my window.  I'm sure that no one will find it here then I took my shower and dress myself properly.

As soon as I go out, I meet the other waitress and they politely greet me.  I just smiled back and quickly went to the dining area to have my breakfast.  I found them preparing food and noticed that the King was not there.

"Have the King, eaten?"  I asked the waiters, then seated in my spot.

One of them nodded.  "Yes, Alpha. He'll just leave to talk to the remaining candidates in the hunt," replied the one who placed the plate in front of me.

"Is that so? You can leave now, you've prepared enough for me, after all I'm the only one who will eat," I stopped them even though they would have put some more.

"Alright, Alpha..."

I smiled thankfully and then started eating the meals.

Then I stood up to peek at those in the kitchen.  They seemed surprised to see me.

"I'm done, I enjoyed the food. Thank you ..." I left them stunned there and then walked to the King's whereabouts.

Once I arrived, all of them turned to my direction and then showed respect as I just approached the King.

"Sorry for being late, I have just finished my breakfast ..." I stated in a low voice.

"It's fine. Shall we start the hunt?"

I nodded as my answer and he just smile.

"Okay, now that the Alpha is here. Let's start the last day of the Hunt. You have to show your skills and survive until afternoon. When the night comes, it's time for the Alpha to chose one of you to be her mate and  rule the packs together. The blue moon will help her to make some decisions. Good luck ... "

All of us stand up then gather outside the Kingdom for us to officially begin the last Hunt.  It will take time and I'm sure that they will try to tame me, as if they can, specially that Blake.  Tsk.

"Gentlemen, on your feet. Begin!"  that's the signal, they will run into the woods to find each other and fight back.

The strongest who stay are the ones needed here and they can’t come back until noon.  And then the only one who can return safely is the one who can be with me to change form when the blue moon comes and that is the signal for me to choose one of them which I will not do.
