We are in a boutique and I have no idea what I’m looking for. Ella was kind enough to pick up my young sister secretly so she could join us especially since she has been through a lot.

She jumps excitedly as she picks up a dress, ‘’Hey Cami! Do you think this suits Canada?’’

Cassie's enthusiasm is contagious, and for a moment, I forget about the complexities of my life. I look at the dress she's holding—a vibrant mix of colors, a stark contrast to the elegant, muted tones that surround us. It’s a cute little dress.

"It's perfect for Canada, Cassie," I say, ruffling her hair. Her eyes light up with joy, and I can't help but smile. Ella watches us with warmth in her eyes, appreciating the bond between sisters.

We exchange silent conversations and I mouth a ‘’thank you.’’ to her which she blows me kisses for. The three of us continue our shopping spree, weaving through racks of clothing, trying on various outfits, and exchanging laughter. It's a rare moment of simplicity ami
