She got it. Everything I wanted she had gotten. When I showed the thugs her new location, I thought they would kill her sell her parts, and give me my share. They auctioned her instead and when Adrian reached out to me I was dumbfounded.

He should have been mine. I deserve it more than she does. I mean she has it all yet all she does is complain and doesn’t even offer me a large sum of money. My heart flutters with a mix of emotions as she shares the unexpected twists in her life.

My ears feel like they will bleed out if I keep sitting here and listening to her whining. I glare at Jay who just mouths ‘’It wasn’t me.’’

The reservation in her eyes paints a picture of a whirlwind romance and a web of secrets, a world I should be a part of. This adventure with a man who played both the role of her savior and captor should have been mine. I can't help but be simultaneously angry and envious of the unpredictable narrative she found herself in.
