The captain

Once he entered the room he locked the door leaving it unlocked. He then sat down in the chair opposite the two of us and rested his elbows on his knees while placing his hands between his legs.

Ezra and I looked towards him and waited for him to speak.

"I don't know how to say this." The man sighed, rubbing his tired looking eyes. "And I wish that I didn't have to."

"Well you better start speaking then because we are waiting." Ezra responded sternly. "Now what's wrong with her?"

"I don't know how to tell you this but..." The man paused for a moment to take a deep breath. "...she died earlier tonight. About an hour ago."

He paused for a few seconds as if taking in our reactions. He then continued talking and explaining what happened.

"She had been in bed for a couple of days now and was doing fine. One of her friends came in to visit her and to bring her some food and water. When she got home from her visit she started feeling sick and dizzy and eventually passed out." The man said s
