"That sounds wonderful." I nod.He takes my hand in his and leads me towards the table in the dining room. When we reach it, he plops down on one side and pats the spot beside him. I sit down beside him and watch him begin to cut the bread, making sure not to cut himself. He puts some butter on the piece of bread and places it on my plate before taking a bit of his own piece. I glance over at Ezra, noticing the faint blush on his cheeks. I grin teasingly and put my hand on the countertop and lean over until our faces are mere inches apart."Good morning." I murmur quietly against his lips.He blushes a deep red."Morning." he murmurs back, his voice sounding breathy and low.I smirk and grab a piece of the bread off his plate, nibbling at it delicately. He watches me with bright blue eyes, smiling. "Stop distracting me." he whispers.I bite my bottom lip and keep eating. "You really are cute when you're jealous. I'm not going to distract you, you're the one distracting me."A chuc
"I just thought I had finally found someone who cared about me and I wanted to prove that I was capable of being a good partner. That maybe I'm capable of loving someone in return, instead of hurting them like everybody else does. But it seems like my plan didn't work." I mumble sadly.Ezra's facial expression changes from anger to confusion to hurt."What?" He asks."I've been trying so hard to impress people with my intelligence and ability to act. But apparently, nobody wants to date a genius like me. And even though I'm pretty confident in my skills, I couldn't convince anybody that I was the perfect candidate for a girlfriend. They all either saw through my lies or didn't like what I had to offer them. Or perhaps none of them were interested in dating me in the first place. Either way, there's a possibility that I may have ruined our friendship forever. If that's the case, then I'm sorry. And I understand if you don't want to forgive me. I guess we just never had a chance, beca
"Okay, sure" I agree. "But it's alright if you don't wanna tell me. We can hang out after breakfast. How does that sound? Sounds better, right?" I ask with a sheepish smile. His expression immediately changes as he smiles widely, nodding happily."Great! Okay then! Let's finish our food first and then we'll talk." He chirps. We sit there in silence for a moment, before he clears his throat once more."Um... So, Alessia. About that question you asked me...""Yeah?" I reply."Did I ever answer it?" He asks, staring at his feet.I stare at him confusedly and open my mouth to speak, but then I shut it and look away nervously. I can't believe what's happening right now. I can't believe that he's asking such stupid questions. And what is with all the lying? I know that he's been keeping things from me, but he didn't mention about any secrets he had before. Did he hide them from me? Why? What's the reason behind this? Is it really possible that he loves me? But it's impossible, right? Righ
"And that's what happened... The next day, everything was great between us again! It seemed as if nothing had changed! And I was happy again... But..." Her voice trails off for a second and she seems to be thinking about something. "But the truth is that I'm not the same anymore. Before, I loved everything about you... I loved how caring and gentle you are. And you're sweet and thoughtful. You're funny and very kindhearted. I loved having you around. I loved the way you laugh.""I loved the way you smiled when you looked at me. But, now... Nothing feels the same anymore. Nothing feels like it used to. Now, everything that reminds me of you makes me miss you. I miss you so much it hurts. And I just want you to stay here with me forever and always.""That's the only thing I've been praying for lately... That you would be able to keep your promise to me and that you'd be my husband and stay with me. Please..." She whispers sadly before she suddenly bursts into tears.I wrap my arm aroun
We decided to go on a hike since we hadn't gone out in weeks and we need to stretch our legs. I told everyone to meet up at Ezra's house in half an hour so we all head over together. I quickly change into some comfortable clothes and head downstairs to see everyone waiting patiently by the front door. Everyone but one person. I see Alessia sitting in a corner with her knees pulled close to her chest as she plays with her thumbs. I immediately notice the slight change in mood and furrow my eyebrows as I stare at her."Is something wrong?" I ask her curiously. She finally lifts her head up and smiles weakly."No, nothing's wrong. I just didn't expect everyone to be there so early," She explains with a small laugh."Are you sure everything's okay? Did something happen yesterday when we were gone?" I ask her softly."No, I'm fine. I'm just tired that's all. We all just got up super late because I didn't sleep very well last night," She tells me while grabbing her bag and standing up."
"Well, the first time I saw it was when we were walking around the park near here. I had heard from a friend that you like to come out here sometimes to clear your head, to get lost in nature, and relax.""So, I took you here. And today, after you fell asleep, I went back to the store and bought a couple of picnic blankets, towels, water bottles, a basket, and some snacks. I brought them all with me so I wouldn't lose track of where you were." He explains with a grin."You really thought of everything, huh?" I ask him as he pulls me closer."Of course I did," He replies softly before kissing my lips.As he kisses me, I melt against him. Our kiss becomes heated and intense and soon, our lips become swollen and chapped from the dryness. He breaks away slightly and rests his forehead against mine before whispering in my ear."Come on. You promised to show me something.""Show you something?" I question."Yeah," He confirms as he holds my hand tightly. We walk side by side and follow the
"Hey, that sounds pretty good to me too. That sounds like the best idea I've ever heard in my whole entire life," He agrees happily.Once we settle back down on the blanket, he turns on the TV which has turned on automatically. I sit there in silence and listen to music while Ezra plays with my hair. After a little while, I start to doze off again and eventually fall asleep curled against his warm body. As I begin to fall asleep, I notice that the sun starts to lower and that it's getting dark out here, along with the moon. Soon, all the lights inside the lodge disappear as the sun finally sets, leaving only a faint glow of light emanating from the stars. As much as I enjoy watching the sky, I can't help but think about the fact that tonight might very well be the last night I see it. I turn and bury my face into Ezra's chest before letting sleep take over. The next day, I woke up with a big smile on my face. Not because it was already bright out, but because, last night, I dreamt
Standing up from the bed, I reach for my backpack that has been sitting at the foot of the bed and pull out a pair of jeans, a plain black tshirt, and a leather jacket. After changing, I brush through my messy hair and fix my ponytail, trying to make sure that there aren't any loose strands sticking to my face. Then, I head downstairs and find Ezra sitting on the couch, reading a book. When he notices that I am awake, he sets down the book and sits upright straight on the couch, smiling widely at me."Good Morning, beautiful," He greets cheerfully.I smile happily back at him before walking towards him and climbing into his lap. I lean up and plant a kiss against his lips softly before settling down on his lap. He smiles into the kiss before resting his hands on my hips gently. After a couple of minutes, we break apart, but I immediately resume kissing him senseless while my fingers play with the buttons of his hoodie. After a few more minutes of kissing each other, we break apart
