My worst distraction

"Then why don't you trust that I'll be able to tell you when something is wrong? What is Ezra gonna do? Just tell me to get better and then pretend like he doesn't care." I added.

"Well..." Ezra said as he scratched the back of his neck. "...maybe I will tell you."

"That was a terrible answer Ezra. If you tell me I'll feel better." I said.

"And it would be best if I could have a real answer from someone else besides you. Please Ezra? That's important to me."

Ezra didn't say anything to that for a few seconds before he let out a big sigh and placed the book that he was holding onto the table.

"Fine." He agreed reluctantly.

"So what's going on?" I asked him.

"Okay... so I may or may not have a problem with you lying to me." Ezra admitted.

"Oh, come on Ezra that's not true!" I said.

"Yeah it is! How long are you planning on keeping this from me?" He asked me angrily.

"I promise I'm not lying to you." I lied.

"How could I possibly believe you?" Ezra scoffed. "You can never hide anything
