ORTENSIA
“Forty million?” Even I was shocked at the amount someone was willing to pay to buy a human.
I heard the bidder call out, “Forty million going once… twice… three times… we have our buyer!”
Fear gripped me. I had never been this terrified in my entire life. Did this mean I was now his sex slave?
Then firm hands grabbed me, lifting me off the ground. I was carried into a car, and we drove off. My heart pounded against my ribs, the fear suffocating me. Minutes later, the car came to a halt, and rough hands dragged me out. I had no idea where I was, but the moment the door shut behind me, silence filled the air. I was still trapped in the hooded sack, unable to see anything. My hands remained tied, but at least my legs had been freed.
Moments later, the door creaked open. I heard approaching footsteps. My body tensed, dreading what would come next. Then, I felt my hands being untied, followed by the hooded sack being yanked off my head. Blinking against the dim light, my eyes adjusted, and I saw a man dressed in a black suit. He had no smile on his face, only cold indifference.
I quickly looked around. The room was unfamiliar.
“Go take a bath,” the stern-looking man ordered, pointing to a door.
I didn’t argue. I wiped my tears, I grabbed the towel resting on a cushion and dragged my feet toward the bathroom. My mind was a mess. Under the warm spray of water, I scrubbed my skin, trying to wash away the filth of what had just happened. But nothing could erase the fear coiling inside me.
After my shower, I stepped out, still feeling uneasy. The same man pointed at a dress lying on the bed.
“Wear that. I’ll be back,” he said before leaving.
I let out a shaky breath. My mind raced with too many questions, but none had answers. I slipped into the dress, surprised that it fit perfectly. Slowly, I walked to the window. My heart sank. It was too high to jump.
“If I were you, I wouldn’t dare.”
I froze as I turned to see the man standing there, his eyes locked on me. How had he entered without me noticing? My pulse quickened. Was he my buyer? Would he punish me for considering an escape?
“Follow me,” he said.
I swallowed hard. Was this it? Was he taking me to punish me? Was I about to lose my virginity to a man who had just bought me?
I trailed behind him cautiously, keeping my distance. We stepped into an elevator that took us to the top floor. As the doors slid open, he pointed ahead.
“The boss wants to see you.”
The boss? I thought he was the boss. The man left without another word. With a heavy heart, I dragged my feet forward. The room was dimly lit, and standing in front of a massive window, his back to me, was a tall, broad-shouldered man.
How was I supposed to announce my presence?
Like he already knew I was there, he turned.
And that was the moment I froze, my breath catching in my throat.
“Hello, sunshine,” he said, smirking at me, already amused by how perplexed I looked.
“Vi…to,” I stammered. It felt like a dream. Memories came flooding back, anger, hurt, confusion… so many emotions at once.
“Vito?” I called again, my voice barely above a whisper.
“I’ve been watching you, Ortensia,” he said, his tone calm but cold. “The second I heard your gambling stepbrother sold you at the Shadow Market, I had to intervene… But don’t mistake this for protection. I just didn’t want you to suffer in the wrong hands, doll.”
“What do you mean, Vito? It’s been ten years. You left… disappeared… only to return and buy me like you own me?” I tried to keep my voice steady, but I was shaking.
“Yes, doll. I own you now. And you’re going to pay for what you did. I won’t go easy on you.”
I scoffed, my chest tightening. “What are you talking about?” I was confused, but Vito just played with the ring on his finger, his sharp eyes studying me like I was some puzzle he was trying to figure out.
“I know who you are, who you work for. So drop the act,” he said, walking over to a bar. He grabbed a bottle, poured a drink into a glass filled with ice, swirled it slowly, then took a sip. He sat down, took another sip, and then pulled out something white. A cigarette? No, it was something stronger. He lit it, inhaled deeply, and exhaled the smoke into the air like a professional. The strong, bitter scent hit my nose, making me recoil.
He didn’t speak. Just sat there, drinking and smoking, while I stood frozen.Vito had changed a lot. The last time I saw him was ten years ago. He had been innocent back then. What had happened to turn him into this monster?
“Doll.” His voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
I noticed he had been calling me that since I got here. I wanted to say something about it, but his next words shut me up.
“You’ll pretend all you want, but wait for my revenge. I’m ready for it, doll.”
I froze. His words sent a chill down my spine. This was definitely not the Vito I once knew.
He stood and walked toward me.
Instinctively, I stepped backward. The closer he got, the more I retreated, until my back hit the wall. He caged me in, his hands pressing against the wall on either side of my head.
He smelled of alcohol, smoke, and expensive cologne.
“Now listen, doll. These are my three rules,” he said, biting his lower lip in a way that looked sexily.
“Number one: You will obey me without question, and your loyalty will be solely to me. You belong to me now. You won’t look at, touch, or even think about another man.” His dark eyes locked onto mine.
“Number two: You will not leave my estate without my permission. You won’t communicate with anyone outside these walls. Your old life is gone. You will be available to me at all times, whenever I want you, wherever I want you.”
I swallowed hard, my throat dry.
“And number three, the last but not the least: You will show me respect at all times. You will not question my authority. Disrespect will be punished. You’ll do as I say when I say it. Your pleasure, your pain… everything about you is mine to decide.”
I froze, I was scared.
I cursed Cayden for putting me in this situation. I was exhausted. It was already night, and all I wanted was to sleep and wake up to find this was just a nightmare.
But then, Vito’s hand wrapped around my neck… not tight enough to choke me, but enough to make me aware of his power. His face was so close, his lips hovering near mine. My breath hitched.
And then he whispered, “Lastly, you’ll kiss me every night before going to bed.”
VITO “Wait… a kiss?”She looked shocked, her lips parting slightly, but I didn’t stop. I moved in closer, my breath ghosting over hers, watching the way her chest rose and fell in uneven pants.Just as my lips were about to claim hers, my phone rang.I clenched my jaw, muttering under my breath, “Perché cazzo mi chiami?” (Why the fuck are you calling me?)Annoyed, I yanked the phone from my pocket and answered sharply. “Set the flight first thing tomorrow. And don’t fucking disturb me again, dumb wit.” I hung up before the idiot on the other end could respond.Slowly, I turned back to her, she was frozen, her wide eyes filled with something between fear and disbelief. Her hands clutched the fabric of her dress like it was the only thing keeping her standing.I smirked. That’s undoubtedly what I wanted.“Already scared?” I taunted, tilting my head. She shuddered. And then, finally, the tears she had been desperately holding back slipped free, trailing down her flushed cheeks.“Please…
VITO“I don’t like repeating myself,” I warned, but she stood frozen. I took a step toward her, but a knock on the door interrupted me. “Don V, I need a minute with you,” Enzo’s voice came from outside. I exhaled sharply. “Okay.” Ortensia let out a quiet sigh of relief, but I wasn’t going to let her off that easily. “You’re wrong if you think I’m fucking done with you,” I said venomously. “You better wait for me. We are not done.” Her face paled with confusion. I grabbed a pajama shirt and trouser, threw it on, and stepped out of the room to meet Enzo. “Che diavolo?” (What the hell?) “I’m sorry, Don V, but I need to show you something quickly,” Enzo said, handing me a file with details about Ortensia. It stated that she didn’t know her biological father. I arched a brow. “So what are you implying? That Ortensia might be innocent?” I let out a cold laugh. “You amuse me, Enzo. This is exactly why we should suspect her. They’ve hidden her real identity so well that no o
ORTENSIA I didn’t look back when I had the chance to escape. I didn’t hesitate. The moment was short, a small window that could close any second, and I had to take it. Only the driver, an older man with a cold look, and Enzo, Vito’s burly, tough-looking guard, were with me. That made it easier. No army of guards, no tight security just them and me. My heart pounded as adrenaline rushed through my veins. I ran. I ran like my life depended on it because it did. The city blurred as I pushed forward. My breath was rough, my legs burned, but I refused to stop. My flats smacked against the pavement expensive, but useless for running. Still, I couldn’t slow down. Not yet. Then, like a miracle, I saw police officers. My heart leaped at the sight of their uniforms. I forced myself to run faster, closing the gap as quickly as I could. When I finally reached them, I nearly collapsed, gasping for breath. “Hey, miss, calm down,” one of the officers said, stepping closer with a concerned l

“Play Space?”I don’t know if I was liking the way this conversation was going honestly, my body was already tensed, I could feel my breathing getting fast, I was suddenly feeling the heat.“Yes Doll, Play Space. His cock? Just hearing that made my heart jump. I quickly tried to pull away from him, but Vito was too strong. I struggled, panicking, and in the process, I slammed my leg hard against the wall below the mirror. A sharp pain shot up through me, and I screamed… loudly. Even Vito looked startled. It didn’t feel like I had just hit a wall. The pain was too much. Like something had already been hurt and now it was worse. Vito quickly turned me around to face him.“What’s the matter?” he asked, his eyes narrowing. For a second, I thought he looked worried. But then his expression changed, like he caught himself and pushed the concern away.“My leg… please, stop the pain,” I cried out, the tears already burning in my eyes.I slowly lowered myself onto the cold marble floor, holding my leg tightly. The pain was pulsing now. Vito bent down beside me and examined it, then sighed.“See here, Doll,” he said. “There’s a red sore. Looks swollen. Did you hit it somewhere?” he asked, his voice calm
“I’m sorry,” I said sincerely, “I didn’t mean to Vito,” I added, my voice shaking, my heart in my throat like a guilty child caught with bloodied hands. He breathed and tried to steady his gums. “Leave,” he said softly, like he was trying to hold something bigger than rage down in his chest, like it was boiling and breaking his bones from the inside. But I walked to him, stupidly maybe, stubborn definitely, and said, “I didn’t mean to, please, it was a mis…” I couldn’t even finish my sentence when he snapped like a switch had flipped and all the heat in his veins turned to fire.“I said fucking leave this room this minute, bitch!” he yelled, punching the wall beside him so hard I jumped like I’d been shot. His knuckles split, blood smeared the wall like a warning sign, and I shook… I’ve never seen this side of him. ORTENSIAI felt someone join me into the pool and drag me out, but I struggle… it’s useless because it’s Vito. I’m already out of the pool, lying on the cold ground, and I snap at him, “I can’t fucking swim anymore? Is it a crime as well to you?” He scoffs at my words. “Are you so tired of life that you want to kill yourself, doll?” he asks, his voice laced with a twisted curiosity. What? Does he really think I want to commit suicide by drowning? But before I can even open my mouth to defend myself, he continues, “Not like I care, but I won’t let you die so easily. Where’s the fun in that? You have to suffer first before dying, doll.”I can’t believe him. He wants me to suffer. That’s why he did what he did earlier, trying to have sex with me. My virginity has saved me tonight. I know I’m going to lose it to this monster. He orders, “Stand up.” I don’t respond. He kneels beside me, his face close, his voice low and dark. “Your brother sold you. I didn’t buy a slave… I took a woman w
The soft knock on the door made me sit up from the bed. I didn’t even know when I’d fallen asleep. Dragging myself up, tired and irritated, I shuffled to the door and yanked it open. Enzo stood there like he had something important to say.“What?” I snapped, already losing patience.“The housekeeper said Ortensia refused to eat.”Why the fuck was he telling me this?“If the bitch refuses to eat, let her starve. That’s her problem,” I muttered coldly, not even pretending to care.Enzo looked at me a second longer than necessary, then gave a curt nod. “Okay, boss,” he said and turned away.I thought it was something worth disturbing me about. What a damn joke, I eventually left the Play Space because I had a late meeting to attend later. Ortensia was not my concern, this is exactly the suffering I wanted her to go through, for what she and her bastard father did. I kissed her with everything I’d been holding back… the rage, the betrayal, the hunger. My mouth claimed hers as her body tensed, trying to fight me off, but I was far way stronger. One hand gripped her ass like I owned it, my fingers digging deep, and squeezing it softly. The other tangled in her hair, yanking her face closer. She moaned, the sound half protest, half confusion, but I swallowed it whole.
