The study room was hushed as the duo ran out of words but Marcus remembered the main reason why he was in the study room with Alpha Galan.

"About those men from earlier. I searched deep into their connection and who they really are." Marcus informed.

Alpha Galan massaged his temple, he almost forget about that particular situation as his mind was already clouded about Theia and the wolf hunter.

"I did my search too." Alpha Galan said and he opened his computer and brought out a photo and some information below the photo. He turned the computer around for Marcus to see his findings.

Marcus' lips curved in a smirk. "Bullseye!" He exclaimed. "I knew these men were up to no good."

"But the problem is, I didn't find any related search on the person they came to find, like the main reason why they're in this city." Alpha Galan heaved a sigh of tiredness.

"True, but don't worry, the great hacker is sitting right opposite you." Marcus smiled mischievously.

"What? Why are you telling me about that now?" Alpha Galan yelled in anger."Calm down, man, it was an irrelevant fact," Marcus said and he closed the personal computer, drifting his attention back to the angry alpha in front of him."An irrelevant fact? Are you sick? Do you know how Theia will feel if her grandmother dies?" Alpha Galan yelled."Huh? Are you being considerate now? Aren't you the one who derived her from seeing the old lady?" Marcus retorted.Alpha Galan slammed his hands on the desk. "Enough!" He roared.Marcus instinctively kept his mouth shut. "Does the old lady know about her condition?" Alpha Galan asked, lowering his tone."She doesn't?"The angry alpha sat back on the chair, swiveling, with his mind still reeling on the revelation. "The old lady doesn't know about her situation. This would be a big shock to her.""I'm more shocked right now because I've never seen this side of you and the fact that you're been considerate is so weird," Marcus revealed, undermi

Hastily, I got downstairs only to find both men busy with their personal computers. I cleared my throat to gain an audience from them and they turned to look at me in unison."Oh, you're here," Marcus said as he kept his personal computer aside and Alpha Galan did the same.Alpha Galan gestured to sit beside him and I did that without hesitation."So, we've gathered here again because of you, Theia." Alpha Galan started with the discussion, crossing his elegant long legs."Okay?" I nodded."Why didn't you tell me about your grandmother's health?" He gazed at me, causing me to swallow hard."I didn't mean to, I just didn't want to bother you with it," I said.He narrowed his eyes and slowly turned away. "Now, I'm bothered. Anyways, how many more days do you think she has left? Do you think she can make it up to the end of the year?""I don't think so, currently, she had sixty days to live so, she can only make it up till November," I said, lowering my gaze, tears threatening to fall my

Marcus paused for a while before going on to his next question, this time he was dead serious about each question he asked and I couldn't help but answer every question not excluding even the slightest detail. "How did you both meet?" Marcus asked."I and my grandmother were waiting for Mr. Mario on a chilly evening. My grandmother was fully dressed and I didn't know her reason for that and it was unusual, we wanted to give him the cabbages he ordered but he never showed up until my grandmother left, saying she wanted to go out and look for him." I explained, exhaling before I continued with my explanation. "I was all alone that night and suddenly Mr. Mario showed up from nowhere and he took me to the slave establishment after I had some argument with him." "Wait a minute!" Alpha Galan cuts in. "He was the one who took you to the slave establishment?" He asked in awe, his face etched with disbelief.I nodded in response."What about your grandmother? Did she later tell you the reaso

At the slave establishment, Marsha was sitting on the cold ground of the small house. Her mind was reeling from the incident that took place when Theia was being bought. She couldn't believe the fact that Theia only spent some weeks in the slave establishment and was being bought quickly unlike her that has been in the slave establishment for years and yet no buyer has even put her into consideration."Why am I so unfortunate?" She asked herself, sobbing, she cuddled herself and buried her face in between her legs. She thought about how her father abandoned her three years ago and how Mr. Old Face has mistreated her and turned her into his sex slave. Marsha was tired of everything and also thought about the days she spent with Theia, and how lovely the lass was. She wished she had known her sooner or maybe Theia was still with her but she thought that might be a bad idea because no one would want to stay long in this shitty environment. In between her thoughts, an idea jolted her, and

"Information reaching us that, the slave establishment led by Mr. Old Face has been closed because of the brutality the slaves face there. And right now, one of them is been rushed to the hospital after the murderous act of Mr. Old Face." I heard the new report on the TV and immediately jumped up in shock when I saw Marsha being rushed to the emergency room with an oxygen mask on her face. I almost collapsed. "What happened to her? What has Mr. Old Face done? Did he forcefully rape her?" I cried my eyes not breaking from the TV."Rape?" Came Marcus' question as he sat the the other end of the couch watching the news on the TV while Alpha Galan sat beside me, he wasn't moved by my act, his eyes were glued to the TV."Yes." I nodded in agreement, clutching onto my clothes with my trembling hands. I regretted that I didn't help her after I got out, I didn't know if Alpha Galan would agree to it. Then I was curious about the kind of job he does that fetched him so much money."Don't stare too much, Theia or your eyes will fall out."
