For the first time, Elinor met Thane-Grace's mother. The woman, who looked beautiful and friendly, made Elinor feel doubtful. Elinor thought, "Will Thane's mother like me, or will she hate me?"

Elinor's demeanor turned quiet. She was still reading the situation and observing the surroundings. It took some adaptation to get along with the Thane family. Elinor tried to be as calm as possible when answering Grace's questions.
