Haley raised an eyebrow. "Guests? Who would be visiting at this time?"

Could it be one of Grandpa’s old friends?

The helper's expression turned odd, as if she wanted to say more but ultimately held back. She simply said, "You should go see for yourself."

Haley exchanged a puzzled look with Shane. "Let's go check it out," Shane suggested.

Downstairs, Charles and Yvonne sat on the sofa, facing a young, beautiful woman and her equally attractive daughter.

Charles asked with a blank expression, "When did you get back?"

The older woman smiled gracefully. "We returned a few days ago. When we heard about Mr. Fisher Sr.'s passing, we thought we should come by."

Charles nodded, falling silent again. The woman had expected more conversation but was met with awkward silence. Yvonne glanced between Charles and the woman, also staying silent.

As the silence grew, footsteps sounded on the stairs. Haley and Shane descended, looking curiously at the unfamiliar visitors. "Mom, Dad, we have gu
