Assisted by the butler, Mrs. Ford Sr. descended the stairs step by step, casting a glance downstairs. "What's going on? All this noise and commotion, I could hear it even from upstairs."

Haley stood up from the sofa and greeted politely, "Mrs. Ford Sr.!"
