AMARACHI's POV.

You look bored. Lunch break would begin anytime soon. Let me tell you more about myself."

"Oh, that would be nice."

"My name is Christabel Edwards. You already know that. I'm 16. I love talking a lot if you haven't noticed."

Oh, I have noticed dear.

I smiled at her, encouraging her to go on.

"I really want to be a model, a popular one. I have a crush on Jeffrey. He's so gorgeous." She said dreamily, blushing.

"Uhm, don't you think that it's too extreme." She looked at me, a frown on her beautiful face.

"I mean you just met me. You don't even know me. What if I told someone that you have a crush on this Jeff guy, wouldn't you be embarrassed or something?" She started laughing immediately after I said that.

"Oh, t,hat? I don't really care, Amara. I even asked him out but he said he would think about it."

What the heck!?? This girl is crazy!!

"What if he rejects you?"

"He wouldn't dare." She smirked.

"You must really like him. Does he feel the same way?"

"Yes, he's a shy guy. I knew it was going to be hard for him to ask me out, so I just helped him."

Nawa o. Wahala dey o!!

"I'm really hungry. Isn't it time for lunch break yet"

"Oh, it's time. Let's go get something to eat in the school's cafeteria."

In every school, the school's cafeteria is usually the rowdiest place in the school.

As we walked into the cafeteria. I noticed everyone's eyes on me. I have not been given the school uniform so I looked different from everyone.

"Amara, let's go over to my friends' table." Christabel said after we finished buying our food.

"Oh okay, cool."

We walked over to her friends' table and Christabel introduced me to her friends. I was really hungry so I wasn't interested in anything she was saying. I just started eating.

"Amara, say hi to my friends." I looked up and I saw three people staring at me. I touched my face unconsciously inspecting my face, to know if there was anything on my face.

"Don't worry, there's nothing on your face." I looked up to see the owner of the deep, masculine voice. He had an amused look on his beautiful face.

Oh yes! This nigg is too fine abeg.

"I know I'm too handsome but don't you think you're staring too much?" A cocky smirk on his perfect face.

"My name is Ademide. You look beautiful by the way."

"Uhh, thank you."

"Ade are you not done trying to woo the new girl? I want to introduce myself The fair said, pouting.

She playfully hit his chest and turned to me, smiling.

"My name is Michelle. I hope you're enjoying your first day at school. You're welcome to crownstar highschool." Michelle said with a smile on her face

Na fine people full this school sha! See beauty!

"Thanks Michelle. Well my first day has been good so far, except from the encounter I had with a girl in my class."

"Do you know her name?"

"Yeah, her name's Sarah " I continued eating my food.

"That self absorbed bitch. Don't let her ruin your day."

"Of course." I smiled at her.

The other guys sitting beside Michelle seemed very engrossed in the game they were playing on their phones. Christabel has been unusually quiet which is not normal. "Jeffrey and George, don't be rude boys. Say hi to our new friend. Her name is Amarachi but you can call her Amara "

Did I say Christabel talks too much? I take it back. Michelle talks a lot!

"The name is George. Nice to meet you." And he went back to his game immediately. I wasn't offended though.

"My name is Jeffery. George is my twin brother. We are Unidentical twins. Nice to meet you. You have a nice jawline."

Ohh this is Christabel's Guy. Now I know why she has been quiet.

"Nice to meet you both. Christabel has told me so much about you." If looks could kill, I'm pretty sure I'd have been dead by now. Christabel was glaring at me. It was so funny.

I thought she didn't care about being embarrassed. Aunty confidence. Lol.

"I hope she said only good things about me though."

"Yeah sure. She said so many good things about you."

"Jeffrey I want to speak with you, in private" Christabel said, standing up and walking out of the cafeteria.

"See you later Amarachi." I just smiled at her.

Jeffrey followed Christabel to God knows where.

Michelle checked the time on her phone and she sighed. "Lunch break is over guys. I really want to spend more time with you Amara, but I'm in the Science class. It's really annoying, you know. All my friends are in the Art class." She said pouting.

"Ade is in art class so he would keep you company. See you guys later."

"See you later mich," Ademide said, laughing.

"Eww, don't call me that Ade!" She stomped her foot and left for her class.

"Baby girl, let's head to class. You don't want to be punished on your first day at school. Do you?"

I failed terribly at hiding the blush that found its way to my face. I didn't reply I just stood up and walked fast to the class while trying to stop blushing.

My first day at school isn't so bad after all.
