LEILA'S POV ~

No!

No, this wasn't happening to me.

"Shit!" One of the five men cursed as they turned towards us, their evil smiles vanishing the moment they saw us.

I could see the amber color flashing in the eyes of the man who had poured the acidic liquid on Olivia, he snarled at us, his teeth elongating.

Before they could pounce on us, sounds of shouts and footsteps reached their ears. Quickly, they began to retreat.

I remained on the ground, tears streaming across my face as I watched helplessly as the men hooked out something from the strap behind them, a long hook-like thing emanated, entangling with the branches.

The men scattered back to the trees and began to run through the different branches on the several trees in the wood, escaping quickly. My heart raced with fear as I watched them disappear from sight.

"Aurora..." I panted in panic, my body trembling. Aurora sighed in sorrow, slumping beside me to the ground as I went on all fours.
