"What was his name?" Keir teased. He knew things like this bored her as much as it bored him and he was very sure she didn't even remember the name of the man in question or any man her parents had ever introduced to her.
She didn't answer him rather her hand found his head motioning him to get back to work than torturing her with his back-and-forth questions.
He rose to his feet and unbuckled his belt quickly not trying to ruin the mood she was in right now, he knew how skeptical she was about being sneaky and doing things like this in public places.
Octavia stared at him not sure if she was making the right decision by doing this here in the bathroom, of course, his bodyguard was outside, so clearly nothing could happen but her thoughts were everywhere and her body was elsewhere yearning for his touch.
"Are you okay?" Keir asked her placing a hand on her cheek, but it was more of a Are you comfortable with the current situation question, he didn't know why but no matter how much they had come to an understanding of themselves, he always felt the need to ask her and find out if she wanted to do this, even though it was clear she wanted to.
He loved to hear it from the horse's mouth than to assume the situation at hand was consensual.
He was always one to bother with asking and even when his cousin had gotten arrested a year ago for raping a girl, it was another wake-up call to not forget to always ask.
The girl had gotten him on the basis that she had not consented to any form of sexual intimacy between them and that his cousin had forced himself on her, the case didn't last long anyways because luckily for his cousin they had done it in a hotel and his lawyer being the best at his job went straight to the hotel to get footage of the room which he was able to successfully get.
The girl in question wasn't only sued for false accusation but the hotel that had provided camera footage of them having sex was also shut down, it was a win-win for his cousin.
"Yeah," Octavia replied him smiling at him sheepily. She didn't know why she couldn't always get over the feeling that always erupted in her tummy when she was with him or being touched by him.

"I don't get you and Keir," June said staring at Octavia as they sat in the restaurant downtown eating. June stared at Octavia as she still had her dark shades on, an after-effect of all the drinks she had taken at the event yesterday.
"What don't you get?" Octavia asked her business partner and friend.
"Are you guys fucking each other?"
"We are not, why do you keep asking this silly question?" Octavia asked eating her food without staring at June. After her little fun with Keir in the bathroom, she was forced to go back to her parents who didn't waste time in introducing her to different men that they knew Octavia might like.
Some of them were not bad when it came to looks and their finances but Octavia just wasn't interested in any of them, so she decided to get drunk while she was at it.
It was a good thing one of the wines looked like water, she had told the waiter to keep it coming when he noticed her glass cup was almost out.
The only aftermath of the whole thing was she didn't remember what had transpired after she got intoxicated, all she remembered was waking up at intervals in her car and then on her bed.
Then early this morning, June had called her to remind her of the business meeting they had missed yesterday which meant they had to reschedule for today.
It seemed when she was with Keir, she always lose track of time and her plans for the day. It was a good thing she was her boss, she had always wondered how many times she would have gotten fired in a month for missing important meetings and having to reschedule all the time.
She had dashed out of the house and called June to meet her at a close by restaurant, first she had to eat, take something for her banging headache and then proceed for the day.
She could have eaten at home but she didn't have time to be waiting for the maids to cook the food that she wanted to eat.
She was craving a lot of junk this morning.
"You guys just seem close than normal," June continued.
"So?"
June was her friend and they go way back but not as way back as she and Keir, She never grew up with another sibling, so it wasn't easy for Octavia to confide in her about trivia issues like this even though June told her every single thing going on in her life, Octavia never for once felt the need to tell her too much about her life.
Sometimes she wondered if Keir used to tell his friends about his little games with her but she didn't care if he did or did not.
He made her happy, he was always there when she needed him and even when she didn't. Everything was easy with Keir and that was enough for her.
"Seriously Octavia what is going on between you guys? I know you too well," June continued. she had been observing the two lately and she knew something was up but Octavia was refusing to tell her. She couldn't blame her, Octavia had told her from the on-set that she didn't do well with sharing personal information with people even if they classified themselves as friends.
June had decided to let the matter die until Octavia's mother asked recently.
It wasn't also new to everyone that Octavia was always defensive when it came to Keir, June didn't care if they had anything going on. She was only worried about Octavia as Keir didn't seem like the serious type one bit.
He was a well-known playboy in town and even Octavia of all people was aware of this fact.
"So who are we meeting up with today?" Octavia asked avoiding the question."I am just worried about you," June confessed staring at her friend."Thanks, but drop it okay?" Octavia warned.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ~ HYDRA COMPANY ~When Keir got to work, his P. A informed him that he had missed an appointment yesterday with one of the people they were planning to work with but the meeting had been rescheduled today and currently, the person was waiting for him in the meeting room.Keir wasn't surprised one bit that he had forgotten about the meeting after he was done with Octavia in the bathroom. He had forgotten that his personal assistant had earlier reminded him that he had a meeting plus his mother had introduced him to another lady who he actually found intriguing not because she was beautiful or anything but because her breast was bigger, which she didn't fail to take advantage of as her cleavage was left open for the eyes to see.Keir was sure at some point that she
We can't work with that cloth, that's just it. Octavia said throwing away the cloth June just picked from her wardrobe, she jumped up from the bed and walked to the wardrobe to see what they could wear to the party.Today was June's birthday party and Octavia had offered to celebrate it for her, it was more of her getting to get drunk and party than even the event itself. She had invited June over to her house to select any cloth of her choice from her wardrobe as she had just gotten some new clothes last week from a top brand but June was scared and not sure if she could wear such expensive clothes.June had then insisted to wear what she had but Octavia was not having any of it, she wanted June to look elegant on her special day and if possible for them to even be wearing matching outfits."This would look good on you," Octavia said showing her a strapless gown. "I have another color of this gown, so we could wear it together, what do you think?""I don't think I can wear that," it
She was just a personal assistant but she seemed to be doing much more than what she was getting paid for."It can't be that bad," June replied. She remembered Maya complaining to her about her boss and how strict she was and very unfriendly. It was certainly nothing new, you just had to figure out how to work there but for Myra to keep complaining over and over again, it meant that it was slowly getting out of hand and her control."It's that bad," Myra said. "Can you imagine that she slapped me in front of everyone because I added sugar to her tea?""I can't imagine, she did what?" June questioned not believing her ears. Why would her boss slap her over such a flimsy issue? Except Myra was not telling her exactly what had transpired between her and her boss or she wasn't narrating the story properly."I was stunned June, I just stood there dumbfounded and I had to apologize to her and still get her another tea without sugar," Myra explained. When her boss slapped her, she found he
"Sir, I don't need...""Robert you have barely gotten any sleep," Keir cut in. He had given Robert enough workload to know the poor guy had not been getting enough rest lately. He had noticed it when he caught him dozing off even though he had his shades on, he could tell when he had dozed off while they were in the car heading to the office and he had been the one that drove him to Octavia's house last night, Keir had ended up sleeping over and Robert was forced to sleep in the car and watch out for his boss."Please Sir, I don't need a day off, I can work," Robert pleaded not knowing what he had done to deserve a day off, he was only doing his job lately."I am not saying you are fired," Keir explained. "I am saying go home and rest then come back to work."" Thank you, Sir," Robert nodded. He also needed the rest but he had not expected his boss to offer it to him just like that, he had wanted to protest but his body was not having any of it today."Call me any of the bodyguards on
June stared at Octavia trying to think of what more to say to make her see reasons for her points, it wasn't that she didn't want Octavia to do it or that she didn't like the plan but it was the environment and the people there that she feared would bring out the worst side in Octavia."Who else is aware of this plan?" June asked already feeling defeated maybe it was better Octavia experienced it for herself and then realize she wasn't fit for that kind of role."Just you, and I want us to keep it that way," Octavia replied. She had thought about telling more people about the plan, not just random people but close acquittance like Keir but she didn't want it spreading into the wrong ears. The only person she could tell right now was June and June was familiar with that environment and that branch with June by her side she was sure she would be able to fish out the person on time."Alright, not even Keir?" June asked just to be sure. She knew if Octavia didn't tell anybody she would
Maggie walked into the office with a smile on her face, she had been about to give up when Keir hang up on her but before she knew it her name was called out. She was pleased to hear that he had requested to see her immediately. She had walked out of that waiting room with her head up high as the other ladies sited stared at her with disdain and envy in their eyes. She was sure she heard something like 'She just got here but i have been here since yesterday' from one of the ladies. She walked towards Keir who was leaning into his chair, he stretched his hand forward telling her to come sit opposite him. She had expected him to offer her a seat on the couch and not on that chair opposite him, she wanted to sit close to him and if possible touch him again but well she couldn't complain just yet she was here now so she could gladly convince him to do her bidding. She took the seat opposite him gladly,"Thank you," she appreciated."What would you like to drink or snack on?" Keir asked im
"What the hell?" Maggie gasped for breath, she had not fully recovered from what they had just done."You know the way out," Keir said rising to his feet and going to the bathroom to get himself cleaned up, it was a good thing he had extra pairs of pants and shirts."You can't just..."knock!knock!!knock!!!Keir entered the bathroom at the sound of the knock and Maggie adjusted her cloth and her hair as well, as Keir's personal assistant walked in with her head bowed down."Escort Miss Maggie out of the building," She heard Mr Hydra's voice from the bathroom."Yes Sir."Even if he was going to be sleeping with someone on a regular, it could never be her. He wanted someone who didn't share any romantic feelings towards him, it was why he always just never got involved with any woman, with Octavia it was easier because they both knew what they were doing. She had no feelings for him and she also had a company to run, she was always quite busy and barely had time for him. He could even
"We are wasting time you know?" June said waiting at the door of the car. They had gotten to the other branch in the outskirts of town but Octavia was refusing to get down from the car which she clearly didn't understand why. Wasn't this her plan in the first place? Wasn't she the one who had to be more comfortable with the idea of dressing like someone else? It was already uncomfortable enough for her that she was going to have to lie that Octavia was her cousin who needed a job and had gotten an approval letter from her boss, it wasn't even the lie part that was uncomfortable. It was the part where she had to control herself from not laughing at how ridiculous Octavia looked right now. She was wearing an old wig, big glasses over her face that made her look like a granny, and the awful Ash gown she had on. She had tried to touch up the dress a bit but Octavia insisted. Octavia's pretend name was Bella. "I feel weird," Octavia replied finally coming out of the car as her flat
- MONTHS PASSED - - HARDIN’S MANSION - “Where are you going to?” Hardin asked, reaching out to June on the bed as he embraced her tightly from behind, planting a kiss on her ear. “Octavia is going to kill us if we don’t attend her baby shower,” June muttered. “Why does her baby shower have to be today?” Hardin groaned. After Conrad was arrested, they spent months going to the station, talking to the police, and going to the court to provide evidence and act as witnesses to make sure Conrad got locked up for good. Finally, the judge ruled in their favor and Octavia decided to put her baby shower on the one day that they needed to rest. Why? “We are not spending the whole day in her house remember,” June smiled, understanding Hardin’s frustration and his desire to spend the whole day with just her. She turned around and placed her hand on his cheeks. “We could leave early.” “Early? Once I see Keir I don’t think early is going to come to mind, those two are still in their honeym
“What are you talking about?” Hardin asked."I need to show you something," June said, grabbing Hardin's laptop from the dining table and bringing it to the living room. She inserted a flash drive into the laptop and placed it on the table. Hardin sat down next to her, already repeating what she had said again in his head, ‘I have been faking it’. His eyes widened slowly as it dawned on him what June meant, but she showed him the video already playing, interrupting his thoughts. - VIDEO RECORDING -Emma places her phone on the top shelf. She goes back and looks around to check if the camera is showing. She rushes back to sit on the office chair in the library. Soon Conrad steps in, discussing something over the phone. His eyes flare up at the sight of Emma sitting in his seat in his library. “What the hell do you think you are doing sitting in my seat?” Conrad asked, disconnecting the call and placing his phone back into his pocket. “I thought it best to come and play with my hus
An hour later, Conrad arrived at Hardin’s house, and Hardin felt anxious when he opened the door and caught sight of him.He glanced at June and noticed how she was nervous to see Conrad. He wondered what she was up to. “I’m glad to see you, June,” Conrad whispered. He walked over to June, about to give her a hug, as Hardin stopped him by raising his hand to his chest and shoving him off. “Don’t touch her,” Hardin warned. This meeting was already taking a lot from him to endure. If he touched her, he wouldn’t hesitate to take him out.“We should all sit down and talk,” June asked, like she wasn’t aware of the tension between the two men.Hardin and Conrad stare at each other for a moment, both trying to contain the resentment they held towards each other for June’s sake. They finally sit on the couch and June sits next to Conrad instead of Hardin. Her action doesn’t go unnoticed by Hardin, who eyes flare up, but he allows it. “This should be a private conversation. He shouldn’t be
Hardin was furious and bewildered by June’s desire to meet Conrad. He understood that she had lost her memory and couldn’t remember Conrad, but wasn't that enough reason for her not to want to see him?He ran his fingers through his hair as he got to his feet, pacing around, trying to process her request. “June, I don’t think this is a good idea. Look, you don’t know the kind of person Conrad is. I mean, he is not the person you think he is.” Hardin voiced out, hoping June would back down.“Allow me to see him, Hardin.” She said, with a straight face.Hardin sighed heavily. This was the last thing he wanted. “Why can’t you listen to me, June? I just told you he is not the person you think he is, and he doesn’t love you. "He's nothing but a liar," Hardin muttered through clenched teeth.“Why do you think so, Hardin? Just allow me to meet him. You don’t have to be so stiff about it.” “Stiff?”“I want to meet with him. I don't remember anything. You make it sound like I do and I am int
Hardin held June in his arms for almost five minutes until he realized she had fallen asleep and stopped crying. He lovingly tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as he kissed her forehead. "I promise to protect you from any harm," he whispered, carrying her in his arms.He got up on his feet and laid her gently on the bed, covering her with the duvet. He smiled at her. She looked so beautiful when she was asleep. He could watch her this way without being tired. His mind finally drifted to that call Maria had placed. Something must have caused June to act like this. A frown suddenly fell on his face at the thought of Maria probably doing something to trigger her. Seething with anger, he stormed into the living room, “Maria! Maria!!” He called out to her as she rushed from the kitchen into the living room, bowing her head down. “Maria, what did you do to her? I specifically instructed you not to stress her out,” Hardin bellowed, his voice filled with frustration.Maria, her eyes dow
June stumbled back, her head pounding with confusion. She couldn’t remember who this man was, and it left her feeling disoriented. “Who are you?” she asked, her voice trembling.Conrad looked hurt by her question. He took a deep breath and said, “June, it’s me, Conrad.”“Conrad?” June muttered. In the hospital, she remembered uttering that name, but couldn't piece it together. “I- I am sorry, but Conrad, from where? I don’t know you.”“You do. We’ve been dating for over a year now. How can you not remember me?” Conrad lied.“What?” June questioned. That couldn’t be possible. Hardin was her boyfriend. His mother was here just now to confirm that they were indeed dating, and she wasn’t pleased about it."I was in a car accident, which is why I couldn't reach out to you earlier," Conrad explained, stepping towards her, but June stepped back.“Please Sir, leave,” Maria finally spoke up, seeing the distraught look on her madam’s face.“Who are you?” Conrad asked, but Maria didn’t reply to
"Mrs Scott?" June said. Hardin had mentioned his mother but he barely said much about her, he told her he would explain better today but now here she was. How did she know Hardin was here?"Where is my son? I want to see him," Mrs Scott asked looking behind June to see if Hardin was there."I told you Ma, he is not here," Maria replied angrily, she had been repeating over and over again that Mister Hardin wasn't around but Mrs Scott refused to believe her. "Will you shut up?" Mrs Scott yelled at her."He is not around at the moment but if you want to wait for him you can," June said in a low voice."No Ma'am, Sir said she shouldn't come in," Maria shook her head not accepting what her madam was saying."It's fine Maria, I will handle the situation, you don't need to worry about it," June reassured her seeing the terrified look on her face, it seemed Hardin had given her strict rules to not allow anyone inside including his mother. But why his mother? Was he hiding something from her?
By nighttime, June decided to take her bath and get some rest. As she took her shower the scent of the bathing soap felt familiar in her nose as she scrubbed her body trying to remember anything but she couldn't.She emerged from the bathroom afterward, her freshly washed face glistening under the soft glow of the vanity lights. Dressed in her cozy pajamas, she climbed onto the bed, preparing herself for a good night's sleep. As she settled under the covers, the door creaked open, and there stood Hardin. He held his pajamas, ready to freshen up and join her in bed.He dropped the pajamas on the bed and went to take a quick shower when he came back he had a white towel over his waist. June stared at his body, his raven-black hair was slicked back, water droplets glistening on his chiseled chest and strong shoulders. Her choice of boyfriend wasn't so bad she smiled to herself, he was not only handsome but also sexy. A smirk danced upon his lips as he caught June admiring his post-show
June felt her heart leap out of her chest at Hardin's words, her lips parted as she tried to say something but there was nothing coming to her head. That kiss had done something to her and she knew deep down Hardin could see it in her eyes. They both remained still staring deep into their eyes but that brief moment of blissful oblivion was shattered when the maid unexpectedly entered the room.Startled by what was going on, she quickly averted her eyes and mumbled an apology, "I'm sorry for interrupting. I didn't know you had company, Sir." Her face turned crimson as she hastily headed back inside. Hardin and June exchanged a sheepish glance before breaking into a light chuckle. "It's quite alright, Maria" Hardin reassured the flustered maid stopping her on her track as she turned around bowing her head to them. "June, this is Maria, your new housekeeper."Maria nodded, still blushing, and extended a polite greeting, "Nice to meet you, Ma'am. If you need anything, don't hesitate to
