Chapter 3: The Omega Savior

last update Last Updated: 2022-03-01 22:23:23

Slipping on his school shoes with his brown backpack and not forgetting to check inside his bag before heading out of the house. Locking it from the inside and twisted the doorknob while slightly pushing it in. It did not open and Luke was ready to go.

He quietly and calmly strolled his way to the train station while keeping his eyes on the road to avoid unnecessary incidents from his own clumsiness. Passing by a few houses with housewives cleaning up their lawn, they met each other’s eyes and greeted one another a ‘good morning’ and a sweet motherly smile.

Picking up a few garbage from the street and pocketing it before he could properly throw it in the trash bin. When he found it, he threw it in the right bin and sprayed some alcohol on his hands.

            “Time check - ”

Luke mumbled to himself as he took out his phone from his pants pocket.

“ – and it is six twenty-nine. Good, there are less people riding the train around this time.”

Put it back in his pants pocket and got lost in thoughts. When Luke heard the conversations of the passing youngsters about the existence of supernatural species like vampires, mermaids, or werewolves, and if a normal person can possibly build a family with them.

It made him raise his pupils in the sky and thought – ‘I do not know about vampires and mermaids but one thing's for sure; werewolves exist and are peacefully living with all of you’. As he slightly turned his head to the side where those youngsters walked.

Luke continued ambled his way to the train station and the sun rays hit his eyes. He stopped from his steps and turned his head away from it while covering it with his right arm. Blinking his eyes and seeing that he arrived at the train station.

            “Oh! I’m here. Yey~!”

Squealing in a small voice as Luke celebrates an achievement that he did not go beyond his destination.

Walked down from the stairs and a few tapping shoe sounds echoed throughout the basement. Luke proceeded to the ticket office and waited a few minutes for the passengers in front of him to finish purchasing because there was only one counter open.

He sighs but before he knew it, it was his turn. He slightly pranced out of that office and paced it up a bit so that he stumbled on his way to the waiting area. Smelled a few humans coming that way – majority of them are omega.

Well, it is a popular time for them to ride without fearing for their own safety, Luke thought and he is stating facts. The still quietness of the area with only the sound of people’s footsteps towards the waiting platform was putting everyone at ease.

Every single one of them are further to the other, avoiding to be surrounded by strangers. The rattling of the rail tracks snapped a few of them out of it and he realized those are werewolves. Luke, alone, readied himself but then and there, the train was still far from what he thought and he just chuckled to himself while covering his face with his right hands.

“Stop embarrassing yourself, Luke! How ridiculous.”

Whispering to himself with the knowledge that the other werewolves heard what he said but still acted nothing happened. The loud screeching of the rail tracks gave him goosebumps and shivers down to his spine.

Inside the clean train cabin were both workers and students alike, looking for a seat far from one another without minding anyone else’s business but silently watching for each other’s safety.

Luke proceeded to the corner, near the door and he noticed a female omega junior high school student but her eyes stared towards him when it took twenty more steps before she could be aware of his presence. Her eyes gave Luke away, all he could do was a reassuring smile at her and said between his breaths.

            “It’s okay. Don’t worry, I’m like you.”

She was shaking, her unstable breathing, her unfocused eyes, her growing claws, and the heavy pheromones was evident and Luke was slowly moving to hand her a werewolf heat suppressant – knowing that it is her first heat.

Despite being scared and visibly shaking, he tried his best to block every possible alpha in the cabin and long before he could a tall woman in a police uniform slowly faltered on their way. She was salivating and her eyes were hazy which was not directed at Luke but on the young girl behind him.

He took off his blazer and covered the agitated female student before he stopped the strong alpha woman in front of him. Other omegas on the scene were starting to help by spraying pheromone neutralizing perfume, by pulling the affected alpha away, by searching for emergency rut suppressant on her bag and injecting it on her thighs.

As the frightening situation subsided, he kneels down next to the girl and looks her in the eyes while asking.

“Are your parents at home? Or anyone that could fetch you on the next station?”

            “Ye-yes. M-my mother is there.”

Luke helped the shaking girl by calling her mother and stated what happened to her daughter inside the cabin. Speaking only the relevant information on what station the train will stop next and how much time it will take before arriving there.

He was exhausted from the previous wrestle; he gave the phone back to the girl and sat next to her as the other werewolf omegas were standing and seated near them. His face was full of bullet sweats while panting, Luke could only close his eyes and covered it with his left arm.

Few minutes went by when he felt a piece of clothing was in his lap and when he looked at it, it was his blazer filled with omega pheromone. Shocked by what he saw, he sprung up straight on his seat and shielded her when he found out that she used her own blazer to cover up her glowing red eyes and her popping ears.

Luke shoved the blazer on his bag and relaxed a bit. He blankly stared at the cabin’s glass window and his body still could not stop from trembling. That alpha’s predator eyes, the strong grip, and the sharp canine teeth, ready to devour the weak prey without any hint of hesitation.

Just a few more steps and that girl will be her food. He could not even stop her from pushing him back. ‘I’m so weak despite being a man’, he thought to himself.

Few minutes later, they arrived at the next stop and the young girl and Luke quickly stride to the omega restroom on the station. They passed through an isolated area and found a female omega being cornered and inappropriately touched by a group of alpha students. Wanted to charge straight at them to grab that woman with him to the restroom as he heard their whispering conversation.

“What are you going to do, eh, little omega? Going to scream and ask for help?”

            “Ple-please. Somebody help me.”

In her small faint voice, she asked for help and they locked eyes. She was trembling with fear and her eyes were begging him to save her. But her head was abruptly turned to the boy in front of her with his hands.

Grinning and tightened his grip on her face that she yelped in pain but her eyes were still evading theirs, not wanting to see the faces of her assailants.

“As if someone will come and rescue you. No one will believe you when you say that you were attacked.”

“You’re flaunting that smell all over this place. Of course, we, as an alpha, got affected by it. So, don’t blame us if you got forced for it.”

Taunting and threatening her with such words made Luke’s blood boil. He tightly clenched his fists and was about to run up there but he was stopped when an arm held him back. Looking at the girl’s fear and faintly shaking her head.

She dragged Luke to the restroom and locked it as well as the toilet cubicle she is in. He was huffing from his pent-up anger and frustration of not being able to save that woman.

“Please call your mom and tell her that we are the restroom on the left corner of the waiting area.”

Their conversation was fading to the background when Luke slammed his hand on the sink’s countertop. Knowing how powerless they are, omegas, against those alpha bastards but they need to protect one another from such horrifying reality of the society they lived in.

He wanted to go back and help her. If Luke has the strength to punch those ignorant students, then he will – just to get that woman out of her fear. Staring at his reflection in the mirror and seeing how impossible it would be.

With a body like that against that tall, bulky and well-toned body, he would be in the same position as that woman when he jumped to her rescue. Turning the faucet on and drenched his face to cool his head down.

“Mom’s at the entrance and is coming. We just need to wait for a while.”

She informed him and Luke just responded with a hum. A while later, a series of banging on the restroom’s door can be heard. That alerted both of them. In fear that it might be those alpha molesters from before but the idea died down when a woman’s voice was shouting outside.

A lock snapped and the door creaked from behind. The girl was running out and opened the restroom door to hug her mother. They left as they gave their apologies and gratitude to him. Luke did the same and went back to the train cabin to go on his way.

He sighed defeatedly from all that happened and closed his eyes as he sat near the train door. Few minutes later, the train stopped at his destination.

Took his backpack and ran as fast as he could towards the bus stop. As Luke entered the vehicle, it was jam-packed with people that he stood up while gripping on the yellow handles. Grunting from the constant pushing of people from the back because of the sudden brakes of the bus and some people, particularly alphas, would use that situation to harass omegas like him.

As Luke just thought of it, a hand squeezed his butt and caressed his waist down to his hips. He had goosebumps and the shiver traveled throughout his body. No matter how kind and gentle Luke is, when he is being taken advantage of, he will fight back or people will continue doing it.

            “Excuse me, sir.”

Luke emphasized the sir part as he turned around and found a well-suited adult in his early twenties.

“Please take your hands off me, sir. You are molesting a minor, for your information.”

Sassily spoke to him while Luke slapped his hands off him as strongly as he could that it echoed throughout the bus. The passengers abruptly turned their head in the direction of the said sound.

When they heard his message to the other, they gave disgusting and disappointing looks at the suited man that he moved away from Luke. After that, the ride to school was not that uncomfortable but still cautious of what might happen within an enclosed area with multiple people, particularly to alphas.

Luke snapped from his own thoughts when the same uniformed students passed through the corner of his eyes and hastily followed them from behind. When he got down and safely positioned himself at the sidewalk when he crossed the other side.

He took out his phone and it was seven thirty. Taking that opportunity to send Leo a message to bring him another blazer when he goes to school without explaining why he needed one then pocket it in.

Luke breathed out when he started his hike up on the hill together with other students. As he met a few familiar faces that greeted him with a ‘good morning’, a shy smile or small wave of hand without forgetting to reciprocate the actions to them.

Some of them naturally received it, few squealed, and others gave him a last wave and went their way. Luke began to feel at ease and slowly forgot the fear he experienced earlier.

It may be due to their bright greetings or the warm sunlight or the cool breeze or the combination of all – he does not know and he does not care as long as he could be relaxed before reaching the campus.

It was not long enough when Luke felt a tap on his shoulder. When he turned around, his vision went dark.
