Sebastian POV

“It seems these auctions are a recurring operation,” I say grimly. “We need to find where they’re held.”

Max’s head dips slightly, his guilt apparent. “He didn’t tell me where, just that he was the highest bidder.”

“Then that’s where we start,” I reply.

Max stands, his shoulders slumping. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be more help,” he mutters before leaving the room.

The door clicks shut, and Joseph speaks up for the first time in what feels like hours. “The King gave us permission to investigate and resolve issues, not to dig into his affairs. If we keep going and it turns out he’s involved, what then?”

I meet his gaze, unflinching. “If the King is part of this, there will be war. Wolves against dragons.”

Joseph’s jaw tightens. “So what’s the plan? Gather information, find Daisy, and leave the rest to her family? Are you really comfortable walking away, knowing children are being kidnapped and sold?”

His words hang in the air, the weight of them settling heavily on all of us.

Celine POVAfter hearing everything Alpha Ian shared, a fire ignited within me—a burning need to help, to uncover the truth, and to make those responsible for such cruelty face the consequences. The thought of anyone willingly taking children and selling them like objects, stripped of freedom, treated as things instead of beings with rights, churns my stomach with anger. What sort of monster does this? The faces of the other children I had seen flash through my mind—faces filled with fear, hope extinguished. I clench my fists, the need for vengeance and justice boiling in my blood. The donations go back thirty years, long before I was even born. Could it be true that the King is somehow involved in this? The thought unsettles me deeply. A King’s duty is to protect his kingdom and his people, not to exploit them. How could someone in his position allow such darkness to fester under his rule?I place a worn piece of paper on the growing pile beside me, the facts and accusations swirling

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Craving

Celine POV His chuckle vibrates against my lips as I fumble with the buttons of his shirt. “We should bathe,” he murmurs, his voice low and teasing, before his teeth nip gently at my lower lip. He’s right, as usual. The heat of the moment cools slightly, replaced with the desire to feel the water cleanse us both. I grasp his hand and tug him into the adjoining bathroom. Turning on the shower, I step under the cascade, pulling him in with me. The room is warm and steamy, the faint scent of lavender and cedar from the soaps lingering in the air. Before I can make a move, his arms encircle me, his broad chest pressing against my back, enveloping me in his warmth. The water cascades over us, its steady rhythm a soothing backdrop as he takes a cloth and begins to wash me. His movements are deliberate, almost reverent. One hand holds the cloth as it glides across my shoulders, down my arms, and over my back. His other hand finds its way to my neck, holding me gently but firmly in place,

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Eloune City

Sebastian POVThe moment we arrived at Eloune City, the atmosphere shifted. The sprawling, chaotic streets buzzed with life, but it wasn’t the comforting hum of a thriving community—it was an undercurrent of danger, of tension waiting to snap. The kind of place where you couldn’t trust the shadows or the smiles.None of us stepped out of the cars immediately. This wasn’t the kind of city to take chances in, especially with a group like ours. Royals and guards tend to attract attention, and not the good kind. I scanned the streets through the tinted windows. People moved in clusters, their eyes sharp and mistrusting.“We’ve got a few locations to check,” Celine says, breaking the heavy silence. Her voice is bright, almost hopeful, and when I turn to look at her, she is smiling faintly. She has been reading through the information we gathered, piecing together possible leads.“It’s not about just knowing where to go,” I reply, my voice low. “It’s about keeping you safe. Places like this.

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   A Part Of Me

Sebastian POV This is a place where shadows thrive, and we are stepping right into the darkness. This city operates by its own rules, a shadowy underworld where anything illegal is not just tolerated but thrives. Every step here feels precarious, and I’m on edge as we step into the shop. I keep Celine close, my hand resting protectively on her lower back as my eyes scan the room. The shop’s interior is as grimy as the city itself, dimly lit with flickering overhead lights that buzz faintly. Shelves line the walls, cluttered with all manner of strange and unidentifiable objects. The air smells stale, with a faint metallic tang that makes my nostrils flare. At the counter sits Austin, a wiry man with sharp eyes that flicker with intelligence—and greed. He rises slowly, his movements deliberate, a sly smile spreading across his face.“King Sebastian,” he drawls, his tone both mocking and intrigued. “Not who I expected to walk into my fine establishment.” He chuckles, leaning on the count

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   The Auction

Celine POVWe arrived at a private hotel, a quiet, unassuming place where questions weren’t asked and privacy was paramount. The staff didn’t so much as blink as we checked in, their professionalism masking any curiosity they might have had. After a modest meal and a brief moment of calm, we began to prepare.Sebastian had tried everything to obscure my identity—to mask my scent, dampen my aura—but nothing seemed to work. My unique essence, the unmistakable mark of who I was, lingered stubbornly. His frustration was evident, though he tried to hide it behind reassuring words.“It will be fine,” I whisper as we step out. “We just have to trust this will be enough.”His eyes meet mine, steady but laced with worry. “Just stay close,” he says, his tone firm.“I know,” I reply softly. “Stay close. Don’t wander off. Don’t ask anything too obvious.”He gives a small, tight smile, but the worry doesn’t leave his expression. “I’m just trying to keep you safe,” he murmurs as we join the growing

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Seeing Him

Celine POV The first page of the book I hold is a photograph of a woman, captured as if she were an object on display. Beneath her image is a list of attributes, each detail meticulously cataloged to appeal to potential buyers. The entire thing makes my stomach churn. How much of myself had been reduced to something similar when I was sold? What did my page say?The thought gnaws at me, a dark curiosity I can’t suppress. Part of me wants to rip through every book in this room until I find it—to see what they wrote about me.“Don’t,” Sebastian’s voice cuts through my thoughts. He gently takes the book from my hands, his touch firm but careful. “Try not to get caught up in things that won’t change anything now,” he murmurs, his tone gentle, but his words strike a nerve. He’s wrong. It matters to me.Before I can respond, a voice booms across the room.“This is your ten-minute warning before the auction begins,” a man announces from the stage. His tone is smooth, almost cheerful, as if t

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Always Searching

Dolton POVThe sharp knock on the door yanks me out of a restless sleep, my heart hammering in my chest. I groan, dragging myself upright, each movement weighed down by the ache that’s been my constant companion since she was taken. The pain isn’t just physical—it’s the raw, unrelenting agony of being severed from her, my mate. I thought holding onto the bond without rejection was the right thing to do, a way to keep her connected to me. But now I wonder if she’s enduring this same torment. How is she coping? Does she even know I’m still searching?“What?” I bark toward the door, my voice hoarse, and it creaks open to reveal Asline standing there, her expression a mixture of hesitation and resolve.“Alpha Dolton,” she says, dipping her head slightly in deference. “There’s still no confirmation whether she’s being sold tonight.”I exhale sharply, the weight of the news settling over me like a suffocating blanket. Of course, there isn’t. It’s always the same—the thread of hope dangled ju

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Finding Her

Dolton POV “Have you considered that she’s no longer in the Werewolf Kingdom?” Beta Oliver’s voice cuts through the hum of the car engine. His tone is cautious, as though bracing for the storm he knows his words might provoke.I stiffen, my gaze fixed on the passing blur of buildings through the window. The thought pierces through the edges of my mind, uninvited and unwelcome. I don’t want to consider it. I can’t.“If that were the case,” I mutter, my voice low and edged with barely restrained anger, “she’d be dead by now.”Oliver doesn’t back down, though his shrug is almost nonchalant. “You’re assuming she’d be sold to vampires, and even then, it’s unlikely. Someone like her—someone with what she is—would be worth far more alive than dead.”His words ring with a bitter truth. He’s not wrong. Keeping her alive would serve them better, whoever they are. My jaw clenches as I turn back to the window, watching the crumbling infrastructure of the outskirts of the city melt into the more i

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Seeing It

Dolton POVI stare at the moon, trying to understand what Leif is talking about. To me, it’s always been just a moon, something distant, powerful in its way, but never something I thought would speak to me. Yet Leif’s words linger in my mind, urging me to look deeper, to truly see.At first, I don’t notice anything unusual, just the pale glow of the moon standing oddly bright against the daytime sky. But the longer I stare, the more the edges of my vision blur, pulling my focus sharply toward the moon’s surface. Something shifts there, a subtle movement, a ripple of darkness.I blink, thinking it’s my imagination or fatigue from the battle. Yet the shadows don’t vanish; instead, they sharpen, becoming clearer, more defined. My breathing slows, and my heart quickens as I focus, straining to understand exactly what I’m witnessing. Then I see it, the shadows aren’t just vague, dark shapes. They’re detaile

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Not Expected

Celine’s POVThe moment Dolton speaks, everything inside me stills. A heartbeat? My hand instinctively moves to my stomach before I can even process the thought. I don’t know why I do it, as if touching the skin there will somehow confirm what I already feel creeping into my mind. For the past few hours, I’ve felt different, not just exhausted from the battle, but off in a way I couldn’t explain. I thought it was the weight of everything we had endured. The stress, the adrenaline, the overwhelming chaos of the fight and its aftermath. But now, as I focus, as I truly listen to my own body, I feel it.My heartbeat pounds in my ears, but beneath it, softer yet just as strong, is another. Smaller, lighter, but carrying a strength all its own. The realization hits me slowly, sinking into my bones, spreading warmth through my chest.I press my fingers to my stomach, the weight of Sebastian’s hand still cover

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Noticing

Dolton POVWe leave the palace and travel to the pack in silence, not the kind where no one is speaking, but the kind where something lingers in the air, heavy and unspoken. Conversations happen around me, but the weight of everything we’ve been through presses down on all of us.Sebastian looks lost in thought, still trying to piece together what happened with Helios. I feel the same way, my mind circling back to the shadow thing. It wasn’t something I had done before. I don’t even know how I did it.“Did you know last night was a blood moon?” Leif suddenly speaks up, breaking through the murmur of conversation.Everyone turns to him, including me. “How did you know that?” I ask, confused.“I could feel the difference,” he says with certainty. “It might have been hidden, but it was a blood moon.”I nod slowly, unsure of what to say to that. “Okay.”“Y

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   All Different

Jonathan POVEveryone is different now, and I know it’s because of the battle. We all tapped into something we didn’t fully understand, unlocking pieces of ourselves we hadn’t even known existed. Then there was Celine, so close to dying, and Sebastian nearly died as well. Standing on the edge of death leaves a mark, one that doesn’t fade easily. But it’s Dolton who concerns me the most. Something about him feels… off. He looks lost, distant, like he’s trying to make sense of something bigger than just the battle. I can sense his unease even from the other side of the palace, something stirring within him that he hasn’t spoken about yet.The other royals have left, tending to their own, but I decide to stay and find Dolton. I walk through the halls until I spot him sitting alone, a glass in his hand. Leif isn’t here, which is unusual. The kid has been at his side constantly since they met, bu

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Not Feeling Myself

Sebastian POVThe air in the palace feels heavy, like the walls are pressing in, suffocating me. I shift on my feet, glancing around the grand hall that once belonged to the Werewolf King. There’s too much history here, too much bloodshed. Staying in this place doesn’t sit right with me.I turn to Dolton. “Would your pack be able to take us in?”Dolton tilts his head, studying me. “You don’t want to stay here?”“No,” I admit, running a hand through my hair. “I don’t like this place. It belonged to him. It’s… tainted.” I exhale sharply. “I need to be somewhere that feels like neutral ground.”Dolton doesn’t hesitate. “It won’t be an issue. My pack will accept us.”That’s a relief. The last thing I want is to stay in this palace any longer than necessary. I can’t explain it, but the idea of sleep

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Showing Up

Celine POVI don’t know what I expect when we get back inside, but it certainly isn’t this.Standing in front of Sebastian, looking furious, is Alpha Ian.“You lied to me!” he shouts, his voice echoing through the palace halls. “You disappeared without a word, you didn’t update us, you didn’t tell us the plan! We still don’t have our daughter!”I step forward, but before I can speak, Dolton moves around me, standing between us.“A lot needed to be sorted to save Gregory,” Dolton says firmly. “He’s not dead, which means your daughter is safe.”“Safe?” Alpha Ian’s voice rises, his frustration boiling over. “How is she possibly safe when you no longer have him to tell you where she is?”“All the children had records,” I explain. “We can track her.”Alpha Ian’s glare snaps

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Strange

Dolton POVI don't feel like me; I'm not sure if it's actually me or because one minute Celine was on the floor unmoving, and the next Helios took her, and I had no idea if she was alive. We move further into the palace and sit down. The royals talk about how they will collect their children who are still here and take them back. Then, any children found in their kingdom who were stolen will be sent to their kingdoms. The conversation is important, but right now, I can't focus. Standing, I walk to Celine and pull her out of the room. We say nothing, and I don't want to be there with her in front of everyone. As we get into a quieter room, I wrap my arms around her body. I hold onto Celine, gripping her tighter than I probably should, but I can’t seem to loosen my grip. She doesn’t pull away, though. She just stays there, warm and steady, letting me hold on.“What’s wrong?” she asks softly.I don’t know how

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Their Disappearance

Jonathan POVI watch as Sebastian stands there, his wings still spread behind him, his chest rising and falling with each heavy breath. He looks lost. There’s something in his eyes, a flicker of confusion, of frustration, like he’s searching for answers he can’t find.He finally looks at me, his expression tight. “I don’t know,” he mutters, shaking his head. “I can’t remember anything after Arktos until waking up in the cave.”I exhale slowly, my body still humming with residual magic from the fight. “Helios killed the Werewolf King,” I tell him, keeping my voice even. “It was brutal, Sebastian. He lost it completely.”Sebastian doesn’t react, but I can see the way his jaw clenches, the way his fingers twitch slightly like he’s remembering something distant, something just out of his reach.I continue, knowing he needs to hear it. “Arkto
