Celine POV

“Helios,” I murmur, meeting his fiery gaze. “I’m sorry for shouting and demanding Sebastian, but you brought me to a cave.” I gesture at the dark, confined space around us. “We were right outside the castle, and you brought me here. Why?”

“Mine,” he growls, his deep voice shaking the walls.

I roll my eyes, a laugh escaping despite the absurdity of the situation. “Yes, I get it. I’m yours. But why the cave?”

Instead of answering, Helios tightens his hold on me, his possessive nature glaringly obvious. I attempt to wiggle free, but his grip only grows firmer. “Helios, seriously, talk to me!” My body trembles, an odd pressure building inside me again as the distance between us momentarily increases.

“Mine,” he growls again, dragging me back to him with a low snarl. His eyes burn with an intensity that sends a shiver down my spine.

“Fine, yours,” I mutter, throwing my hands up in mock defeat. “But that doesn’t explain why you dragged me out here to live in a dragon bachelor pad

Yet he doesn’t stop. He won’t stop. His relentless devotion to my pleasure is both intoxicating and maddening, a torment I can’t resist. My body trembles uncontrollably, a live wire overloaded with sensation. Every lick ignites my overstimulated nerves, sending shivers cascading through me. I should push him away, plead for reprieve, but the primal hunger he stirs won’t allow it. Instead, I claw at him, dragging him closer, craving the agonizing pleasure only he can provide. His claws dig into my hips, their sharpness a counterpoint to the slick heat of his tongues. Pain and pleasure meld, an alchemical fusion that makes me lightheaded with need. Celine POV“Good,” he rumbles, his lips curving into a triumphant smile. He rocks his hips, drawing a cry from me before launching us skyward once more. The air is sharp and cool against my scales, a stark contrast to the fiery heat radiating from him. My arms cling to his neck, my eyes squeezed shut as fear battles with exhilaration. The sensation of him moving inside me as we ascend is unlike anything I’ve ever known—a mingling of terror and unrelenting pleasure.“Open your eyes,” he murmurs, his voice low and commanding. “Trust me.”Every instinct screams to keep them closed, but the assurance in his tone compels me. Slowly, I obey, and the breath catches in my throat. The world sprawls below us, a shimmering tapestry of moonlit forests and silver streams. Above, the stars gleam like scattered diamonds, close enough to touch. It’s otherworldly, a beauty so profound it’s almost painful.“See?” Helios whispers, his lips brushing my ear. “I’ve got you. You’re safe.”The fear melts awa

Sebastian PovMy eyes open to the blinding sunlight and the warmth of Celine’s body against mine. As I take in my surroundings, the cave we’re in is big, panic sets in. I quickly flip Celine over and scan her back for any sign of the spike. My body relaxes when I see that there isn’t one. He didn’t claim her.“Celine?” I gently nudge her awake, running my finger along her face. She looks up at me with sleepy eyes and rubs them.“It’s me. Are you okay?” I ask, relief flooding through me as I stroke her hair.“Why didn’t you tell me about Ember season? And why did you block Helios?” Her tone is accusatory and I can feel guilt weighing heavy on my chest.“During Ember season, mates usually claim each other. I didn’t want Helios to claim you, so I blocked him. I was hoping it would protect you,” I admit, rubbing my face tiredly.Celine sighs loudly and cuddles closer to me, but she doesn’t look pleased with me at all. And I can’

Sebastian POVI nuzzle her neck, inhaling her scent mixed with the musky aroma of our lovemaking. She sighs contentedly, her claws tracing lazy patterns on my back. The fire in my core has been sated, replaced by a warm glow of satisfaction.“I missed that,” she murmurs, her voice still husky with desire.I chuckle softly, the sound rumbling through my chest. “As did I, my love.”Reluctantly, I roll off her, but immediately pull her into my arms. She curls against me, her tail still entwined with mine. I drape one wing over us both, cocooning us in warmth. We lay in comfortable silence for a while, simply basking in each other’s presence. I run my claws gently through her scales, marveling at how they shimmer in the dim light. She hums softly, the sound vibrating against my chest.“How long until we leave?” she asks eventually, a hint of worry in her voice.I tighten my hold on her. “A few days,” I reply, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “But we’re staying together, I won’t leave you.

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   His Escapes

Dolton POVSebastian is off doing... whatever it is Sebastian does. Likely something related to the kidnappings and the children being sold, though I can’t be certain. We’re working separately for now, occasionally consulting one another when input is needed, but otherwise keeping to our respective tasks. For me, the focus is on pinpointing possible locations where the Werewolf King might be hiding those he’s purchased. His palace seems like an obvious choice, but it’s also an impractical one. The risk of guards, maids, and others noticing something is far too great. No, he’s likely smarter than that. If I were in his shoes, I’d have them hidden elsewhere—just like Celine had been when she was younger.Something about the situation gnaws at me. We’ve been assuming that the Werewolf King only became ill recently, but that theory no longer holds water. No—we were wrong. The fact that Celine was used as his personal healer for years speaks volumes. He’s been sick much longer than anyone

Dolton POV I follow his line of sight, tension creeping into the room.“Are you expecting someone?” I ask, already suspecting the answer.“Yes,” he says, his jaw tightening. “Lord Arman and Tatsuya. I’ve reviewed the statements from the gathering. I have enough evidence so it's time to confront them.”That’s a bold move. “And what’s your plan?”He exhales, running a hand through his hair. “Honestly? I’m not sure. Lord Arman has held his position for years. Arktos was supposed to take over when he was ready, but... well, we know how that turned out. Stripping Lord Arman of his title because of Tatsuya’s actions feels excessive, but I can’t just ignore this. The alternative is... I don’t even know.”I sit back, considering the gravity of his situation. “You’re right. Stripping him of his title might be harsh, but you can’t let this slide either. Tatsuya’s actions—whether they were calculated or reckless—crossed a line. You need to make that clear. It might be worth inviting them to the

Celine POVDolton’s frustration is obvious as he storms away. I glance at Jonathan, hoping for clarity. “I need to know everything about Shadebind and Arcane Severance,” I explain, my tone firm.“Jonathan can help you with that while I try and find out where Lord Arman and Tatsuya are,” Sebastian says, stepping closer. “I also need your help with another issue, but this one is more pressing, so focus on it for now.” He kisses me briefly before walking off with his guards.“Shadebind,” Jonathan begins, his tone measured, “is a form of black magic. It hasn’t been used in centuries. It was a weapon in battles, but then people started carrying personal, meaningful objects tied to their hearts. Those objects protected them, and Shadebind eventually fell out of use.”“And it paralyzes?” I ask, my brows knitting together in concern.Jonathan nods. “Yes. It targets specific individuals, groups, or even entire bloodlines. For anyone else, the fog is harmless. But for the intended targets, it’s

Celine POVWhile walking, I scan the journals in my hands, searching for any mention of Shadebind. Frustratingly, I find nothing.“Careful,” Jonathan’s voice startles me, and I look up just in time to see him standing in front of me. I nearly walked into him!“Sorry,” I mumble, clutching the journals. “I can’t find anything about Shadebind or how to remove it. It only explains how it’s cast.”Jonathan nods knowingly. “What you need is Arcane Severance," he explains, and I realize my mistake.Quickly scanning through the pages again, I find the spell. It’s shockingly simple—far too easy, considering its power and purpose.Casting the spell takes only a moment, but my thoughts are consumed by what lies ahead. I’ll have to ensure Sebastian agrees to let me be present when Nylex is locked in the cell. When I finish, I step back and nod. “It’s done,” I say. “Now, let’s speak with Sebastian.”Before we can move, a servant approaches with a small bow. “Your Majesty, you need to choose a dres

It’ll be quicker than waiting in the cars.”I shake my head firmly. “No, we should all arrive together.”Dolton’s smirk widens, mischief clear in his eyes. “Alright, then how about Helios takes her up instead? I’m sure he’d love to stretch his wings.”I roll my eyes. “How is that any different?”Dolton shrugs, chuckling softly. “You said you missed home. I’d bet Helios does too—this is his kingdom after all. Maybe he deserves to arrive first.”Before I can respond, Helios takes Dolton’s suggestion as permission, surging forward eagerly and pushing my consciousness to the back. My body shifts abruptly in the car, a wave of laughter erupting from bo

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Something Simple

Dolton POVWe’re sitting in a clearing, resting before continuing our journey back to the Dragon Kingdom. The weight I’ve carried since the battle finally feels lighter as laughter fills the air. Around me, faces are relaxed for the first time in what feels like forever. Sebastian sits close to Celine, his arm protectively around her as people continue to celebrate her pregnancy, teasing him about becoming a father. Their smiles are contagious, and I find myself genuinely laughing alongside them.Yet even as I laugh, Julius remains uneasy, pacing restlessly inside my mind. I try to push the unease away, but it’s difficult when Julius is this restless. I glance over to Leif, sitting quietly, staring off into the trees. There’s still so much I don’t know about him, so much he probably doesn’t even know about himself.Leaning closer, I nudge his shoulder gently. “You okay?”Leif blinks, pulled from his thoughts

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Seeking Answers

Jonathan POVI sit alone in the quiet car, the journals spread across my lap. My fingers flip through the pages slowly, frustration building with every page turn. I’d told the others I needed silence to focus, but the truth is, I just didn’t want them to see how much this is getting to me.I’m trying to find answers for Dolton, something that can explain what’s happening to him, but each page I read feels emptier than the last. My heart thuds with a heavy anxiety as I rub my temples. There’s almost nothing here about Lycans. The few mentions I’ve found are vague or useless, and there’s not a single line about the Shadow of the Moon or why there can suddenly be two Lycans. It’s as if the writers deliberately avoided the topic, which only makes me feel more unsettled.I lean my head back against the seat, taking a slow breath, and close my eyes. Dolton deserves answers, he’s struggling with something non

  • Orphaned Queen Goddess   Returning

Sebastian POVWe left the Werewolf Kingdom first thing in the morning. I want to get home. I’ve spent far too long away from my kingdom; Helios is restless, and so am I.It’ll take about three days to get back, but since it’s only our group traveling, all my men can drive, which means we won’t be slowed down by walking. Dolton chose to ride in another car with Leif, wanting to spend some time speaking with him alone. Jonathan opted to ride separately, claiming he needed quiet to focus on reading through the journals.I understand why Jonathan turns to the journals for answers, but even I doubt they can solve everything. I know he’s hoping to find something—anything—to help Dolton. Finding out Leif is directly connected to him, even in death, must be overwhelming, especially when severing their bond might risk both their lives.Still, despite the circumstances, I welcome the chance to spend time alone with Celine.

Celine POVI watch Dolton carefully. He wouldn’t have turned bad, I know it. He wasn’t alone, he had me, Sebastian, and Jonathan. We wouldn’t have let him become something evil.Stepping closer, I gently slip my hand into Dolton’s, trying to calm him. He turns slightly, offering me a faint smile, but the worry in his eyes is unmistakable. He shouldn’t be worried; he has us.“You once mentioned feeling like part of you was missing, like something wasn’t fully there,” his father says from behind the bars, his gaze unwavering. “Do you remember when that began, Dolton?”“No, I don’t,” Dolton snaps sharply. From the other cell, Wes chuckles darkly. “It started when Leif was born. Come on, Dolton, catch up.”Turning sharply, I glare at Wes, and the twisted, evil man mockingly blows me a kiss. My stomach churns with disgust.“Leif is part of you,&

Dolton POVAs I go to leave the cells, Celine walks in. It's pointless, I know she wants to know how things are happening but my father isn't about to speak.“He won’t speak,” I mutter before glancing back to my father. “At least not truthfully.”Celine smiles softly at me and nods. She looks back to my father and steps around me going toward the cells. “Then let’s make sure he can’t lie.”What? I stare at her and realise what she means. She reaches my father and his gaze turns cold. She doesn't hesitate she reaches through the bars and grips his hand, her grip tightens even more. I watch as his eyes widen, and a sharp breath escapes him as her magic pulses through him, I know what she's doing. She's going a truth spell and ensuring it's weaving into his mind, binding him to honesty. The moment the spell settles, I watch as she releases him and steps back, nodding toward me.“He can’

Dolton POVI stare at the moon, trying to understand what Leif is talking about. To me, it’s always been just a moon, something distant, powerful in its way, but never something I thought would speak to me. Yet Leif’s words linger in my mind, urging me to look deeper, to truly see.At first, I don’t notice anything unusual, just the pale glow of the moon standing oddly bright against the daytime sky. But the longer I stare, the more the edges of my vision blur, pulling my focus sharply toward the moon’s surface. Something shifts there, a subtle movement, a ripple of darkness.I blink, thinking it’s my imagination or fatigue from the battle. Yet the shadows don’t vanish; instead, they sharpen, becoming clearer, more defined. My breathing slows, and my heart quickens as I focus, straining to understand exactly what I’m witnessing. Then I see it, the shadows aren’t just vague, dark shapes. They’re detaile

I don’t know why I do it, as if touching the skin there will somehow confirm what I already feel creeping into my mind. For the past few hours, I’ve felt different, not just exhausted from the battle, but off in a way I couldn’t explain. I thought it was the weight of everything we had endured. The stress, the adrenaline, the overwhelming chaos of the fight and its aftermath. But now, as I focus, as I truly listen to my own body, I feel it.My heartbeat pounds in my ears, but beneath it, softer yet just as strong, is another. Smaller, lighter, but carrying a strength all its own. The realization hits me slowly, sinking into my bones, spreading warmth through my chest.I press my fingers to my stomach, the weight of Sebastian’s hand still cover

Dolton POVWe leave the palace and travel to the pack in silence, not the kind where no one is speaking, but the kind where something lingers in the air, heavy and unspoken. I feel the same way, my mind circling back to the shadow thing. It wasn’t something I had done before. I don’t even know how I did it.“Did you know last night was a blood moon?” Leif suddenly speaks up, breaking through the murmur of conversation.Everyone turns to him, including me. “How did you know that?” I ask, confused.“I could feel the difference,” he says with certainty. “It might have been hidden, but it was a blood moon.”I nod slowly, unsure of what to say to that. “Okay.”“Y
